📆 Days of Fasting for Rabi al-Thani 📆

The days of the White (nights) of Fasting for Rabi al-Thani fall on Wednesday the 11th till Friday the 13th of January.

Make sure you fast, winter fasting is a treasure many are heedless of!

Jareer ibn ‘Abdullaah (رضي الله عنه) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Fasting three days of each month is fasting for a lifetime, and ayyam al-beedh are the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth.” (1)

Abu Dharr (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said to me: “If you fast any part of the month, then fast the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth.” (2)

(1) - [Narrated by al-Nasaa’i (2420)].

(2) -[Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, (761); al-Nasaa’i, (2424)].
"Stop acting that you care about Islam only and only when your life style is at risk.

When was last time you really learned anything about your religion that wasn't a whatsapp message or a Facebook post?

Stop talking about the affairs of the Muslims as if you know everything.

Stop the rubbish and learn. I am sick and tired of people arguing about every point and everything yet never learned the basics of what they are talking about.

Stop thinking that you are guaranteed the approval of ALLAH for a post you made or a "like" button you clicked.

Stop man. Get to work. Life is shorter than what you think. Death is closer to you than your jugular.

Muawiyyah conquered Europe when he got angry.

Almu'tasim conquered Amorium when he got angry.

Muhammad Al-Fatiha conquered Constantinople when he got angry.

Abdurrahman Alghafiqi reached Paris when he got angry.

What you do when you get angry? Turn on the TV? Or play video games?

I don't tell you to conquer anything. All I ask you for is stop talking about that which you have no clue of. I beg you."

- Sh. Fadi Kablawi (حفظه الله)
Never belittle any of the good deeds you perform, especially the prayers you do in devotion and sincerity to Allah ‎ﷻ.

'Ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) reported:

❝A man kissed a woman and he came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and made a mention of that to him.

It was (on this occasion) that this Ayah was revealed:

‎وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ۚ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ذِكْرَىٰ لِلذَّاكِرِينَ

And establish prayer at the two ends of the day and at the approach of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for those who remember.

[Surah Hud - 11:114]

That person said, 'O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), does it concern me only?.'

He (ﷺ) said, 'It concerns the whole of my Ummah.'❞ (❶)

Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (رضي الله عنه) said:

Allah forgives major sins, so do not be afraid, and Allah punishes for minor sins, so do not be deceived.” (❷)

Among the causes of having worries disappear and sins forgiven is sending ṣalāh (supplications for peace) upon the Prophet ﷺ, and the effect of sending ṣalāh upon him on Friday is greatest. The Prophet ﷺ said to the one who would send ṣalāh upon him, “You will be freed of your worries and your sins will be forgiven.”

Ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbāli (‎رحمه الله) said:

"And from the greatest of voluntary deeds that brings you closer to Allāh is abundantly reciting Qur'ān, listening to it, pondering upon it and understanding it."

{جامع العلوم والحكم ٢/٣٤٢}
Imam Dhahabi (‎رحمه الله) said:

“The highest levels and ranks [in Jannah] are for someone who cries at night [to Allaah] and smiles during the day [to people].”

[Siyar a’lam an-Nubala (v. 1, p. 141)]
📆 Days of Fasting for Jumada al-Awwal 📆

The days of the White (nights) of Fasting for Jumada al-Awwal fall on Friday the 10th till Sunday the 12th of February.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

‘Shall I not tell you of something that will take away the evil of the heart? Fasting three days of each month.’ (1)

Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) said: My friend (the Prophet ﷺ) advised me to do three things and I shall not leave them till I die, these are: To fast three days every month, to offer the Duha prayer, and to offer witr before sleeping. (2)

Make sure you fast and share with others!

(2) - (al-Bukhaari, 1178; Muslim, 721).
❝Salahuddin (r) was Ash'ari in Aqeedah and in terms of Fiqh, he was a Shafi'i. Ibn Qudama (r), who is referred to by many as Shaykhul Islam fought under the banner of Salahuddin was Athari in Aqeedah and in terms of Fiqh, he was Hanbali - this did not prevent them from uniting.

Ibn Taymiyyah (r), studied under many of the scholars of the Ash'aris and he even fought under the banner of the Mamlukes-the rulers of that time- the generality of them were Ash'aris - again, this did not prevent them from uniting to fight external enemies. In fact, in fighting the Tatar invasion of the Muslim lands, Ibn Taymiyyah fought alongside Sufis and others.

This is #UNITY.❞

A deep and enlightened understanding:

❝To know that many of those who follow their desires love Allaah and His messenger in a way that many of the devout worshippers do not.❞

Some of the Salaf would say:

"Good deeds are done by both the pious and sinners (from time to time) but only a truthful person can leave off sins."

[Qaa'idah fee Sabr v. 1 p. 91]
Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah [رحمه الله] said:

❝From the means of ease and delight for the heart, is: continuous remembrance of Allaah in all circumstances, and in every place.

Dhikr has an amazing effect in giving ease to the heart, and pleasure to the heart.

Negligence has a strange effect on making the heart constrained, imprisoning it and punishing it.❞

[Zaad al-Ma’ad (2/25)]
❝It is the decree of Allah for which there is no reversal that whoever loves something/someone more than Allah, that thing/person would be the source of his pain and misery, and anything that is given precedence before Allah would never be blessed.❞

[Ibn al-Qayyim 'الوابل الصيب' pg. 12]

People who speak about you are of 5 types:

1. Those who praise you in your face but in your absence they criticise you. They are the hypocritical ones and this is a common trait of most people.

2. Those who criticise you in your face and in your absence. They are those who make no effort to restrain their tongues.

3. Those who praise you in your face and in your absence. They are those who want something from you.

4. Those who criticise you in your face but in your absence praise you. They are the foolish ones.

5. Those who neither praise nor criticise you in your face or in your absence. However in your absence they either praise you or at least withhold from criticising you. These are the people of intelligence and good character.

- Ibn Hazm (‎رحمه الله) in (الأخلاق والسير)
Enjoying the dunya does not require much intellect, for there is nothing similar to animals in the diversity of their enjoyment of it. Every human being who does not reach the pleasure of Īmān, there is no value to his intellect.

الاستمتاع بالدنيا لا يحتاج إلى كبير عقل، فلا يوجد مثل البهائم تفنناً في استمتاعها بها، وكل إنسان لا يصل إلى متعة الإيمان فلا قيمة لعقله
