🚨ISKP/LeT Death Squad's key operative Shafiq ur Rehman Mengal's compound is under attack in Khuzdar city. It has been more then two hours, firing & blasts continue in the area.
✍Shafiq-ur-Rehman Mengal: ISKP, LeT and LeJ Linkages
Shafiq-ur-Rehman Mengal, also known as Mir Shafiq Mengal, is a controversial pro-state Baloch tribal militia figure from Khuzdar/Wadh. His network connects tribal power, local armed coercion, sectarian militancy and transnational jihadist actors in Balochistan.
Mengal is the son of Naseer/Nasir Mengal, a former federal minister and caretaker chief minister of Balochistan. Around 2008, he founded the Baloch Musallah Difaee Tanzeem/Musallah Defah Tanzeem, projected as an anti-Baloch separatist force. The group became known as a death-squad-style militia involved in abductions, enforced disappearances, targeted killings and intimidation of Baloch nationalist activists.
His name also emerged in the 2014 Tootak/Khuzdar mass graves case. The commission did not prosecute him, but local accounts and witness narratives placed his men within the coercive ecosystem around the case.
Mengal’s ISKP connection is centred on Balochistan. He is linked to ISKP facilitation networks, safe-house support, arms movement, funding channels and logistical support around Khuzdar and Mastung. His name also surfaced in connection with militants tied to the Safoora Goth attack network, including shelter and support extended to facilitators.
Mengal’s LeT connection has two layers. The first is historical, from his time in a Deobandi seminary in Karachi where he came into contact with senior Lashkar-e-Taiba members and was pushed toward jihad in Kashmir. The second is operational, with his interaction with senior LeT figure Rana Mohammad Ashfaq reflecting coordination between LeT-linked actors and Mengal’s Balochistan network.
Mengal’s Lashkar-e-Jhangvi connection is older and more deeply embedded. His militant ecosystem has long overlapped with LeJ-linked anti-Shia networks, Taliban-linked actors and Al-Qaida-linked operatives. This makes LeJ a more structurally rooted part of his Balochistan network than LeT.
The key distinction is that LeJ provides the older sectarian-jihadist layer, LeT represents the Pakistan-backed transnational proxy layer, and ISKP represents the newer jihadist-operational layer in Balochistan. Mengal sits at the intersection of all three.
In March 2026, Mengal entered mainstream politics through the Pakistan Peoples Party and received a ticket for the NA-256 Khuzdar by-election after meeting President Asif Ali Zardari. This reflects the political mainstreaming of a militia-linked actor with connections to ISKP, LeT and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
Shafiq Mengal is best understood as a hybrid proxy node rather than a conventional militant commander. His value lies in tribal influence, armed manpower, local coercive reach, sectarian-jihadist linkages and access to Pakistan’s proxy ecosystem. In Balochistan, actors like Mengal allow the Pakistani state to outsource coercion while preserving deniability.

📍Following today's observance of the 10th death anniversary of HM terrorist BM Wani, Pakistan and its proxies are expected to intensify their propaganda around the so-called "Kashmir Martyrs' Day" on 13th July.
📞Last year, several political theatrics and symbolic gestures were witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir under the UT administration. Similar attempts at narrative-building and political messaging may be seen again this year as well.

🚨 ISKP Claims Killing of Two Christian Cricketers in Mastung, Balochistan
The Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) has claimed responsibility for the killing of Ayush Michael (21) and Sagar (24), two members of the Christian community who were shot dead while playing in a cricket match near Shamsabad Cross, Mastung, Balochistan.
Following the attack, members of the Christian community, including relatives of the victims, blocked the Quetta–Karachi National Highway outside Shaheed Nawab Ghaus Bakhsh Raisani Hospital, placing the bodies on the road and demanding the immediate arrest of those responsible. The protest caused significant traffic disruption, with long queues of vehicles forming on both sides of the highway.
In a subsequent statement, ISKP claimed responsibility for the attack, stating that its fighters targeted what it described as “two Christian combatants” using automatic weapons before withdrawing from the area.

✍This is not the first time Shafiq Mengal has been targeted by BLA.
In June 2025, militants from the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) ambushed Mengal’s convoy in Khuzdar, killing his younger brother Mir Attaur Rehman Mengal. The BLA also admitted an earlier 2011 attack. A suicide bomber struck Shafiq Mengal’s Quetta residence in Dec 2011 (Majeed Brigade, a BLA cell), but Mengal survived. These incidents underscore the violent feud. On one side Mengal’s pro-state militias, on the other anti-state Baloch insurgents.
In July 2023 near Wadh, clashes between Shafiq Mengal’s fighters and Akhtar Mengal’s supporters killed 4.

❗Here is the Truth🇮🇳. Since, ISPR 🇵🇰 bots were spreading fake news regarding arrests of gangsters in USA, Europe and Canada.
Reality:
Indian agencies, through the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), also shared a list of gangsters based in the U.S. and other foreign countries, along with evidence. The meetings gained pace over the last one-and-a-half months, before the coordinated crackdown by law enforcement agencies in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
