❗Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA) has officially announced its re-establishment as an independent militant organisation, formally ending its reunification with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and reverting to its pre-August 2020 autonomous status.
⭐In a statement released on 4 July, JuA said the decision followed a “lengthy consultative process,” citing organizational injustice, marginalisation, leadership disputes, and the loss of its founding emir, Omar Khalid Khorasani. The group claims it exercised restraint for years to avoid internal bloodshed but alleges continued attempts to sideline and target its members ultimately made separation unavoidable.
