๐จ Bajaur Update
Heavy clashes were reported overnight on 14โ15 May 2026 following a militant assault targeting the Damangi Scouts camp/post in the Loi Mamond area of Bajaur District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to reports, the attack began with a suicide VBIED blast followed by an attempted infiltration of the compound by armed militants. Preliminary reports indicate at least 8 Pakistani security personnel were killed and several others injured (likely more casualties than what is being reported)
TTP claimed responsibility for the operation, alleging militants breached the camp, set fire to military vehicles and ammunition depots, and later engaged reinforcement forces in nearby areas.
The attack was reportedly linked by TTP figures to recent Pakistani military activity near the Afghanistan border region, particularly Kunar province.
