India validates three strategic missile technologies in three days
Growing mastery in next-gen strategic tech spanning nuclear deterrence, hypersonic propulsion and precision stand-off strike capability
โIndia's ๐ฎ๐ณ Three Key Milestones during Ops Sindoor Anniversary.
May 7 - Tara Glide Weapon System: DRDO conducted the maiden flight test of the Tactical Advanced Range Augmentation (Tara) system. As India's first indigenous modular glide weapon, it is capable of transforming conventional unguided warheads into long-range precision-guided weapons, marking a shift toward standoff precision warfare.
May 8 - Advanced Agni VI Missile with MIRV Technology: India successfully test-fired an advanced variant of its potent Agni missile equipped with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology. Unnamed sources indicate this is the Agni-VI, which has a potential range of over 10,000 km, though it was tested on a depressed trajectory for a reduced range of 3,500 km. MIRV capability allows a single missile to deploy multiple warheads to strike different targets across a large geographical area.
May 9 - Scramjet Combustor for Hypersonic Missiles: DRDO completed an extensive, long-duration ground test of an actively cooled, full-scale scramjet combustor. The test achieved an uninterrupted run time of over 1,200 seconds. This sustained supersonic combustion is a critical technological breakthrough needed for developing next-generation hypersonic cruise missiles capable of traveling at speeds exceeding Mach 5.
