🇰🇷🇺🇦 South Korea demands an explanation and apology from Ukraine over North Korean POW disclosure.

Seoul says Ukraine violated a confidentiality arrangement by publicly revealing that two North Korean soldiers captured in Russia’s Kursk region had been transferred to South Korea.

The disclosure was made by President Volodymyr Zelensky during his UN General Assembly speech on September 23.

South Korea says Kyiv had requested that the transfer remain confidential because of its sensitivity to the prisoners, their families and regional security.

Ukraine, however, has disputed Seoul’s account, with Ukrainian officials saying there was no agreement requiring the transfer to remain undisclosed.

Seoul is now demanding an official explanation and apology and says it is considering further measures.
