Saudi Arabia has asked China to urge Iran to use its influence over Yemen’s Houthi forces to curb their attacks and advances, Reuters reported, citing three Iranian sources familiar with the matter.
According to the sources, Riyadh turned to Beijing for help after the Houthis made recent advances along Yemen’s Red Sea coast and around the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, prompting China to convey a private message to Tehran.

DUSHANBE Tajikistan’s lower house of parliament has considered a proposal to end the country’s participation in the International Criminal Court (ICC), following tensions over its decision not to arrest Russian President Vladimir Putin during his visit to Dushanbe in 2025.
