🇨🇳🇺🇸 CHINA WARNS: AI IS BECOMING A THREAT TO NATIONAL SECURITY

🔹 🤖 Four threats: Chinese Minister of State Security Chen Yixin identified deepfakes and propaganda, AI-enabled cyberattacks, data leaks, and accelerated military competition as core risks.

🔹 🧠 Information warfare: Chen warned that AI-generated deepfakes could be used to wage a “propaganda war” against China and manipulate public opinion.

🔹 💻 Cybersecurity: AI could dramatically lower the technical barriers to cyberattacks against critical infrastructure, potentially allowing less-skilled actors to conduct more sophisticated operations.

🔹 ⚔️ AI changes warfare: Chen pointed to US AI deployment in the war with Iran as evidence that warfare has been “fundamentally transformed.”

🔹 🇺🇸 US models singled out: Chen specifically identified foreign AI systems, including Claude Mythos and GPT-5.5-Cyber, as cybersecurity concerns.

Two days of dialogue, cooperation and shared purpose in New Delhi. 🇮🇳

The 18th BRICS Summit advanced a clear, actionable agenda for stronger multilateralism, more inclusive global governance and sustainable development—anchored in India’s 2026 Chairship theme: “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.”

Key outcomes include:
- Unanimous adoption of the 140-point New Delhi Declaration, covering terrorism, trade, UN reform, critical minerals and climate action.
- Concrete steps on renewable energy, clean-tech finance via the New Development Bank, and supply-chain resilience through a new BRICS Logistics Cooperation Framework.
- Renewed commitment to reforming global economic governance to better reflect the realities of emerging and developing economies.

As India hands the BRICS chair to China for 2027, the focus now shifts to turning these commitments into time-bound action and last‑mile impact.
