๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ“Š JUST IN: Nigeria remains in the World Bankโ€™s lower-middle income category for the 2027 fiscal year.

Despite sweeping reforms, Africaโ€™s largest economy is still classified within the $1,176โ€“$4,635 GNI per capita range.

Nigeria has held this status since 2010.

The classification matters far beyond labels.

It determines access to development financing, shapes investor perceptions, and influences global economic rankings.

While countries like Cabo Verde moved up and Togo escaped low-income status, Namibia slipped backward.

For Abuja, the challenge remains the same:

Turn reforms into productivity.Turn growth into income.
Turn potential into prosperity.

The race to move beyond lower-middle income status continues.

๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ JUST IN: Nigeria's City Boy Movement says it is targeting 10 million youth votes for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election.

Speaking at the CBM National Retreat in Abuja, patron Seyi Tinubu called on members to expand grassroots mobilisation across every ward, campus, market and community in the country.

"10 million votes will not come from slogans or social media," CBM Director-General Francis Shoga said.

"They will come from real people, real engagement and hard work."

The movement says its mission is to counter misinformation, explain government reforms, and build stronger connections between citizens and the administration.

With less than a year before campaigning intensifies, Nigeria's battle for the youth vote is already underway.

The US has announced the withdrawal of its remaining troops from Iraq by September 30 โ€“ ending a 23-year occupation that began with the 2003 invasion. But Washington isn't leaving empty-handed: "American companies will enter instead," and the US is "going to be taking out a lot of oil."

๐Ÿ›๏ธ US troops out by September 30 โ€“ around 2,000 servicemen still stationed in Iraq will depart.

Israel's security cabinet has allocated 1.3 billion shekels to establish 34 new settlements in the occupied West Bank โ€“ despite international condemnation and UN warnings that the policy is fragmenting Palestinian territory and destroying any viable twoโ€‘state solution.

This is not just a trade route. It is a signal of multipolarity 2026 โ€“ where middle powers build alternative corridors, bypass Western sanctions, and redefine global influence through strategic autonomy.

๐Ÿงญ Eurasian trade corridor โ€“ Belarus and Pakistan are building a route that bypasses Western-controlled chokepoints and sanctions regimes.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Pakistan's defense industry shift โ€“ seeking technological independence, moving away from traditional Western suppliers.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ "This is the latest batch of horror stories, intended to continue brainwashing people and prepare the population for further militarization."

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ TRUMP TO NETANYAHU: "They Don't Want You There" โ€“ Withdraw from Syria & Lebanon ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

The US president has reportedly pressed Israel's prime minister to pull troops out of Syria and southern Lebanon โ€“ widening a rift between the two leaders.

๐Ÿ”ด What Axios reports:

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Trump told Netanyahu: "They don't want you there. You should redeploy" โ€“ referring to Israel's military presence in southern Syria and Lebanon.

๐Ÿ“‰ The push follows Trump's meeting with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa at the NATO summit โ€“ the Trump administration is trying to broker a new security arrangement between Israel and Syria.

โณ Israel has yet to begin withdrawing from Lebanon under a US-backed framework agreement reached last month.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Netanyahu insists Israel needs "security zones along its borders" โ€“ and the IDF says there has been "no change on the ground."

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธโš–๏ธ TARIFFS, GUNBOATS, AND TYRANNY: Trumpโ€™s Unconstitutional Push Against Iran

Trump defied Congress, violated the Memorandum, and declared warโ€”all to control the Strait of Hormuz. This is not "defence." It is piracy dressed as policy.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Trump violated the US Constitution โ€“ Congress imposed a prohibition on war with Iran. Trump ignored it, simply "informing" them he was resuming strikes.

๐Ÿ“œ The Memorandum was broken โ€“ Article 5, which governed the Strait of Hormuz, was violated when the US attempted to reroute shipping through Oman's territorial waters โ€“ despite Iran's sovereignty under international law.

๐Ÿ’ฐ 20% toll on all nonโ€‘US vessels โ€“ Trump announced the US would "police" the strait and charge fees.

๐Ÿ”— The target is China โ€“ Iran controls the strait. The US wants to reverse that. Washington has no legal right โ€“ it's operating in foreign waters.

๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณโš ๏ธ JUST IN: Australia has blocked voting rights for three China-linked investors in rare-earth miner Northern Minerals, escalating tensions over critical mineral supply chains.

Canberra says the move protects "national interests."

Beijing sees something else:

The weaponization of national security against Chinese capital.

The affected project contains dysprosium and terbium โ€” rare earth elements essential for advanced magnets, EVs, missiles and defense technologies.

China warns that politicising investment decisions risks fragmenting global supply chains, raising costs and delaying projects.

For investors, the message is becoming harder to ignore:

In the era of strategic minerals, geopolitics may matter more than market rules.

Kosovo, meanwhile, continues to prioritize lignite and renewable energy while viewing American LNG as a supplementary option.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆโšก๏ธ JUST IN: Hundreds of Ukrainians have taken to the streets in Kyiv and other cities to protest President Zelenskyy's dismissal of Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

Protesters near the presidential office chanted "Shame!" while carrying signs reading:

"The Russians are celebrating."

Fedorov, widely credited with reforming defence procurement, fighting corruption and expanding Ukraine's drone industry, had become one of the most influential figures in Kyiv's wartime leadership.

His removal comes amid a major government reshuffle as Ukraine seeks greater unity within its military and political leadership during the war.

Supporters see his dismissal as a setback for reform.

Critics argue he failed to move quickly enough on military recruitment reforms.

The protests highlight a rare moment of public dissent in wartime Ukraine.
