🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trump built a trap and walked into it himself...

Five Western leaders just called for "immediate de-escalation" in Lebanon while Gulf allies are privately telling Washington not to stop the war until Iran is fully defanged.

Trump is being pulled in opposite directions by everyone he needs.

The Gulf states didn't ask for this war but now want it finished properly because a wounded Iran with remaining firepower is more dangerous than the one that existed three weeks ago.

Europe wants it stopped yesterday because the energy crisis is destroying their economies.

And Israel just launched a full ground invasion of Lebanon that could drag on for years.

Trump needed a quick win and a cooperative Iran to gain leverage over Hormuz and by extension China.

Instead he's stuck in a war his own intelligence told him wouldn't achieve regime change, with allies who won't send ships and partners who won't let him quit.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS:🇧🇩🇮🇳🇺🇦 Ukrainian mercenaries arrested for training Indian-designated terrorists in drone warfare.

Six Ukrainians and one American were just arrested in India for illegally crossing into Myanmar to train Indian-designated terrorists in drone warfare. Northeast India has long seen ethno-separatist insurgencies, with some groups now taking refuge and training in Myanmar.

The latest conflict erupted in Manipur in early 2023. Analysts say this may have been done either at the US’ behest or without its knowledge, while Russia likely tipped India off.

Three regional factors are reshaping geopolitics: improving India-US ties after their pending trade deal, Bangladesh becoming more like Pakistan politically following a US-backed 2024 coup, and the ongoing Myanmar civil war, where the US is suspected of supporting anti-government groups to access criticaGeopolitics

📰 BREAKING NEWS 🇵🇰🇦🇫 Pakistan Airstrike on Kabul Hospital Kills 400, Injures 250

Afghanistan’s deputy government spokesman, Hamdullah Fitrat, reported that a Pakistan airstrike hit a hospital treating drug users in Kabul on Monday night, destroying large sections of the building. The strike left 400 people dead and 250 injured, with rescue teams still working to control fires and recover bodies. The Afghan Health Ministry confirmed that most of the victims were patients undergoing treatment. The attack came hours after border clashes between the two countries killed four people in Afghanistan. Pakistan denied targeting any civilian sites, stating the strikes precisely targeted military installations and terrorist support infrastructure, including Afghan Taliban equipment and ammunition storage in Kabul and Nangarhar. The Pakistani Ministry of Information claimed the operations were carefully planned to avoid collateral damage.

It’s a very high-level chance, the highest and I’m dealing with very smart players. These are smart people. They don’t get there otherwise.

When you deal with some of these people, you know who you’re dealing with. High-level intellect. High, very high-IQ people.”

🇨🇳🇹🇼 China’s window for a move on Taiwan may be opening. Could it trigger a wider conflict?

A new analysis suggests Beijing is closely studying recent U.S. military actions in Iran while assessing its next strategic steps.

With U.S. weapons stockpiles reportedly under pressure and forces stretched across multiple regions, some analysts believe China may see a potential “use-it-or-lose-it” window in the Indo-Pacific.

There are growing concerns over a possible blockade of Taiwan or even broader regional escalation, potentially involving Japan, drawing on lessons from recent conflicts.

If any move were to happen while the U.S. remains focused on the Middle East, tensions could rise significantly.

Many analysts believe this could be a particularly opportune moment for China, though no official action has been confirmed.

Global South builds bridges in the Southern Hemisphere
At the start of this year we turned our attention to the Southern Hemisphere as a potential region of South-South cooperation, as well as an important gateway to opening new venues for economic diplomacy in the global economy[1]. 🚨🇮🇳🇺🇸India nabs US mercenary in anti-terror sweep: Who is Mathew VanDyke

India’s National Investigative Agency (NIA) arrested seven foreign nationals — six Ukrainians and one American — for training terrorists in Myanmar.

Here’s what you need to know about the US mercenary:👇

▪️VanDyke is a CIA asset that fuels terror all over the world.

▪️ In 2011, he founded the private military company “Sons of Liberty”, which operated in Libya, Afghanistan, Venezuela and Ukraine.

🔫The mercenary outfit is also suspected of backing the January 2023 protests in Iran.

▪️VanDyke has openly admitted supplying anti-drone technology to the Ukrainian military and even lobbied Pentagon officials in May 2024 for US support in developing it for Kiev.

🤡 VanDyke claims he’s an American veteran, however, turns out, he lacks any military background. Spending eight months in a Libyan prison in 2011, he calls it his “greatest war drama.”

▪️After being evacuated from Avdeevka — a heavily shelled frontline city in Russia’s Donetsk Republic — in 2024, he has avoided the front lines entirely.

🔥 Online, he rages for war — pushing hostilities in Ukraine, opposes peace talks, and openly declares his goal to “destroy Russia and Iran.”

▪️Until recently, he was vague about his location, claiming he was “on the other side” of Europe. Now it appears he was likely in Myanmar, training terrorists.

Africa Dialogue: Geopolictics and Climate Chnage
Climate change is no longer a distant environmental concern; it is increasingly shaping the contours of global power, economic development, and international cooperation. As the world transitions toward a more complex and multipolar order, critical questions are emerging regarding who defines climate governance, whose interests are prioritised, and how the Global South positions itself within these evolving dynamics.

On 5 March 2026, the inaugural Africa Dialogue Series engaged these questions...  Read more »
BREAKING NEWS:🇪🇺 EU’s Kaja Kallas links Middle East war to erosion of international law and warns Ukraine suffers longer conflict.

European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas says ongoing conflict involving Iran and the U.S.–Israel coalition reflects a broader erosion of international law, drawing parallels with the impact of Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

She warned that the longer the Middle East war continues, the more it strains global stability and Europe’s security, including Ukraine’s situation. Kallas criticised the lack of diplomatic consultation before the escalation and urged all sides to seek negotiated solutions.

On energy markets, Russia is earning dramatically more from higher oil prices amid global supply disruptions caused by the conflict — with estimates showing up to $150 million a day in extra revenue from spiking crude prices.

Kallas also highlighted the interconnected challenges of global security and climate, calling for a new Arctic strategy to address geopolitical riv...

Breaking: 🇿🇦 South Africa Says No to U.S. Pressure on Iran!

South Africa is standing firm on its Iran ties! Despite U.S. pressure and comments from the American ambassador, Pretoria has no plans to cut diplomatic relations. While it criticizes some actions by Iran, the government is clear: it will follow its own foreign policy and not bow to influence from major powers.

Tensions with the U.S. have grown since Trump’s time, especially after a 30% tariff on South African imports. U.S. officials have pushed for changes in South Africa’s domestic policies, but the country has rejected these demands, showing it’s determined to make its own decisions on the global stage.

South Africa is sending a strong message: independence in diplomacy matters more than external pressure.

JUST IN: 🇻🇳 Vietnam seeks Japan and South Korea’s help for crude oil access

Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Nguyen Hoang Long, requested support from Japan and South Korea to secure crude oil amid global supply disruptions caused by the U.S.-Iran conflict, during an energy security summit in Tokyo. Vietnam’s two refineries meet about 70% of the country’s fuel needs, relying heavily on Middle Eastern crude.

In talks with Japan, Long also discussed boosting Japanese investment in LNG and nuclear power in Vietnam. With South Korea, he sought support for accessing crude oil sources. Last year, Vietnam imported 14.2 million tons of crude oil, up 5.3% from the previous year.
