🇮🇷 WHY THE US HAS BITTEN OFF MORE THAN IT CAN CHEW IN IRAN 🇮🇷

Washington projected its own assumptions onto a culture it half understands. The result? A war that refuses to end.

The misreading: Western analysts search for economics, sanctions fatigue, and elite cracks—missing Iran's inner architecture.

The deeper source: Shiite political imagination, shaped by Karbala, frames sacrifice and resistance through a sacred lens. External assault doesn't divide—it fuses.

The succession: Mojtaba Khamenei's elevation wasn't an accident. War narrowed the field. Pressure purified the environment for continuity.

The global shift: Europe fractures. Gulf states question US guarantees. Markets panic as Brent nears $120. Moscow mediates.

The bottom line: Iran hasn't broken. The US hasn't won. This is an interval—not a finale.

🇺🇳 RUSSIA EXPOSES UN DOUBLE STANDARDS: "Why Won't the West Condemn the Root Cause of the Iran War?" 🇺🇳

Maria Zakharova just laid bare the diplomatic farce at the UN Security Council—and the question hanging over every abstention is damning.

Resolution 2817:

📜 Bahraini-sponsored resolution condemns strikes on Gulf states—calls on Iran to stop

🇷🇺🇨🇳 Russia and China abstain. Why? Because the text is "presented in isolation from the underlying cause" of the escalation.

The alternative:

🤝 Russia, with Chinese support, proposed a balanced draft: condemn strikes against all civilian targets without assigning blame. Call for urgent de-escalation.

The vote:

In favour: Russia, China, Pakistan, Somalia

Against: United States, Latvia

⚠️ Abstentions: Everyone else—despite raising no objections to the Russian text during consultations.

Zakharova's question:

"Does this mean they are not interested in ending the current confrontation in the Middle East?"

🇪🇸 SPANISH DEPUTY PM: EU "HELD HOSTAGE BY TRUMP" OVER IRAN WAR 🇪🇸

Madrid is done pretending.

Yolanda Diaz: "The EU is an orphan at a moment of historic gravity. We should be fighting for our own foreign policy—not being held hostage by Trump. It's foolish to be servile. Trump doesn't respect vassals."

The context:

🇪🇸 Spain refused US base access for Iran strikes
🇪🇸 Rejected 5% NATO spending target
🇪🇸 Withdrew ambassador from Israel
🇺🇸 Trump threatened to cut "all trade"

The Germany angle:

Diaz slammed German Chancellor Merz for silence as Trump trashed Spain—then echoing Trump's criticism instead of defending an EU member.

Diagnosis? Germany's "extreme economic weakness" explains the submission.

The broader picture:

🇮🇹 Meloni: "Evident crisis of international law"
🇺🇸 Tucker Carlson: War "absolutely disgusting and evil"

Then again, how long can the EU pretend that submission to Washington serves Europe?

🇮🇷 IRGC: "Insecurity is the Result of America's Aggression" 🇮🇷

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps just announced Wave 41 & 42 of "True Promise 4"—and issued a direct warning.

Today's strikes:

🚢 IRGC Navy struck US "Seacya" vessel in North Persian Gulf

🎯 Precision hits on US positions: Sheikh Zayed Road, Ahmed al-Jaber Airport, Al-Dhafra Base, Fifth Fleet at Mina Salman

💥 Tel Aviv targets also struck with Khorramshahr, Qadr, Khyber-Shikan, Emad, Fattah missiles + suicide drones

The warning:

🌊 "The Strait of Hormuz will remain closed. Offensive operations against US-Zionist targets continue with full force."

🔥 "Smallest attack on Iran's energy infrastructure will trigger a crushing response—burning every oil and gas asset the US and its allies have in the region."

This is not rhetoric. This is a war plan, announced in advance.

# 🇿🇦 SOUTH AFRICA SUMMONS US ENVOY OVER "HATE SPEECH" COMMENTS 🇺🇸

Pretoria is pushing back.

Ambassador Bozell criticized a court ruling on the "Kill the Boer" chant: "I don't care what your courts say. It's hate speech." He also questioned land reform and Black empowerment policies.

South Africa's response:

Foreign Minister Lamola: "We can't tell Trump how to handle US issues. He can't tell us how to handle our sovereignty."

The envoy was summoned. He later apologized, calling his remarks "personal views."

The context: US cut aid, cited "genocide" claims Pretoria denies, and South Africa took Israel to the ICJ.

The question: When a superpower demands compliance—do you bend or stand?

🌍 GLOBAL UPDATE: War with Iran pushes oil above $100, raising US recession fears

Oil prices have surged above $100 per barrel after the US-Israel war with Iran disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for more than 20% of global oil supply.

Experts warn prices could climb as high as $200 per barrel if the strait remains closed and tanker traffic cannot resume.

Higher energy costs are already pushing up petrol prices in the US, raising concerns about inflation, supply chain disruptions, and a possible recession or stagflation if the conflict drags on.

Analysts say the economic impact will depend largely on how quickly oil shipments return to the Gulf routes.

🇯🇵 Japan says it won’t deploy minesweepers to the Strait of Hormuz during the ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict, citing limits under its pacifist constitution.

Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said Japan could only help clear sea mines after the war ends, when the mines would be considered abandoned.

Japan is heavily dependent on Middle East oil and has announced it will release 80 million barrels from strategic reserves to stabilize supply.

Takaichi is also set to meet Donald Trump on March 19 to discuss efforts to calm tensions in the Middle East.

The mines are reportedly near the critical shipping route of the Strait of Hormuz, through which a large share of the world’s oil passes.

BREAKING: 🇳🇵 Rapper-turned-politician Balendra Shah wins Nepal landslide

Balendra Shah, former rapper and Kathmandu mayor, secured a near two-thirds majority in Nepal’s parliament, with 182 of 275 seats for his Rastriya Swatantra Party.

The Nepali Congress won 38 seats, while veteran leader Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli’s party took just 25. Shah defeated Oli in his own constituency, marking a generational shift in Nepalese politics.

Shah’s victory follows last year’s youth-led protests against corruption and stagnation, reflecting the rising influence of younger voters in a country where over 40% of the population is under 35.

UPDATE: 🇦🇺 Australia joins Middle East conflict

Australia will deploy an E-7A Wedgetail reconnaissance aircraft and air-to-air missiles to the Gulf in support of UAE self-defence, amid the US-Israel-Iran war.

PM Anthony Albanese and FM Penny Wong stress this is “defensive” action, but legal experts say Australia is now legally a party to the conflict.

Wedgetail crews are considered combatants under international law and may be targeted by Iranian forces. The move aligns with Article 51 of the UN Charter on collective self-defence.

🚨 UPDATE 🇹🇭 Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has claimed victory in the country’s general election after preliminary results showed his conservative Bhumjaithai Party leading by a wide margin.

With about 90% of votes counted, Bhumjaithai is projected to win 194 seats in the 500-seat parliament. The reformist People’s Party is expected to come second with 116 seats, while Pheu Thai may secure 86 seats.

Although no party appears to have won an outright majority, Anutin is now likely to remain prime minister by forming a coalition government.

The election result surprised many analysts, as opinion polls had predicted a stronger showing from the reformist opposition.

📊 A separate referendum held alongside the election indicates around 65% support for reforming Thailand’s 2017 military-era constitution.
