The United States ranks second with about 3,800 deportations, its highest figure in five years. Many removals from Gulf countries are linked to issues like visa overstays, working without valid permits, labour law violations, or workers absconding from employers.
For many Indian workers and students abroad, this raises tough questions about legal awareness, employer responsibility, and the risks people take to chase better opportunities. At the same time, countries are tightening immigration checks and enforcement, especially on paperwork and legal status.
