Maryam (SA) a Chosen Lady
3:42 And (mention) when the angels said: “O’ Mary, indeed Allah (SWT) has chosen you and purified you and chosen you above the women of the worlds.”

Maryam’s (SA) Mentor
3:44 This is news of the unseen that We reveal to you (O’ Prophet). You were not with them when they cast lots to decide who would be Mary’s guardian, nor were you there when they argued (about it).

3:45 She said: “My Lord, how will I have a child when no man has touched me?” (The angel) said, “Such is Allah; God creates what God Wills. When God decrees a matter, God only says to it: ‘Be,’ and it is.

Disciples of Isa (AS)
3:52 But when Jesus felt (persistence in) disbelief from them, he said: “Who are my supporters for (the cause of) Allah (SWT)?” The disciples said: “We are helpers of Allah (SWT). We have believed in Allah (SWT), and you bear witness that we are Muslims (submitting to God).
3:53 Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the messenger Jesus, so register us among the witnesses (to truth).”

Amir Al-Mu’minin, Imam Ali (AS) said:

Whoever covets devalues himself; whoever discloses his hardship agrees to humiliation, and whoever his tongue rules him debases himself.

Ascension of Isa (AS)
3:55 (Mention) when Allah (SWT) said, “O’ Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you (in submission to Allah (SWT) alone) superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.”

Amir Al-Mu’minin, Imam Ali (AS), said:

Stinginess is a shame, cowardice is a flaw, poverty disables an intelligent man from arguing his case, and a destitute person is a stranger in his hometown.

3:56 And as for those who disbelieved, I will punish them with a severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers.”

3:58 The verses just recited to you (O! Prophet) are testament to your prophethood and a wise reminder for believers.

Commentary on the Quran (Chapter 3:59-60)

By: Mohammad Sobhanie

Divinity of Prophet Isa (AS)

3:59 Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah (SWT) is like that of Adam. God created him from dust; then God said to him, “Be,” and he was.
3:60 The truth is from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters.

By: Mohammad Sobhanie
The Event of Mubahalah
3:61 Then whoever argues with you about it after (this) knowledge has come to you – say, “Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then supplicate earnestly (together) and invoke the curse of Allah (SWT) upon the liars (among us).”
