📚 XAUUSD — WHY I TOOK THE SHORT 📉
Let me break this setup down simply so everyone understands the thought process.
1️⃣ Higher-Timeframe POI
Price was approaching our 4H premium/supply area. This is an area where sellers could potentially step in.
We don't automatically sell just because price enters the zone.
2️⃣ Price Entered the Zone
Price pushed into the marked supply area and started showing rejection around the highs.
This gave us the location we wanted.
3️⃣ Lower-Timeframe Confirmation
Instead of blindly entering, we dropped to the 1M timeframe and waited for confirmation.
We saw bearish momentum develop, with price breaking the short-term bullish structure and creating a series of lower highs and lower lows.
That was our confirmation that sellers were gaining control.
4️⃣ Execution
Once the bearish confirmation appeared, the short became valid.
📍 POI → Rejection → Bearish Structure Shift → Entry
5️⃣ Target
The target was the previous low around 4,399, which price eventually reached.
💡 The lesson:
We don't trade because "price is in supply."
We trade because price is in our area + gives us confirmation.
That's the difference between anticipating and reacting to the market.

Bearish scenario: Rejection from the current supply → look for confirmation for shorts, targeting 4370 → 4360 and potentially lower.
Bullish scenario: If price breaks and holds above 4390, the next area of interest is around 4410, followed by the higher supply around 4430–4440.
