When you say أسْتَغْفِرُ الله you are asking Allah for two things:

Firstly: That He conceals the sin

Secondly: That he overlooks the sin, so that He does not punish by way of it.

When it comes to refuting innovators, some people are overtaken by sentiments and become overly emotional...this is not a good trait for a believer to have!

How can you sympathise with someone like Al-Qaradhawi when he says ⤵️

“Before I leave this station of mine (i.e. from giving this khutbah) I'd like to say a word about the results of the Israeli elections. The Arabs, all of them, were placing their hopes in the victory of Barleen, however he lost and this is what we praise about Israel. We desire and hope that our country can be like this country (i.e. Israel). Due to only a small number of people, the one who was actually ruling lost his position. There was not 94% or 95% (of votes) which is what we are accustomed to in our country, but 99%, (yes) 99%. IF ALLAAH HAD PRESENTED HIMSELF TO THE PEOPLE AS A CANDIDATE HE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO TAKE THIS AMOUNT... we welcome Israel for what it has accomplished...”

Why don't you get emotional when this wicked mufti refers to Allah in this shameless manner?!
Sheikh Muqbil rahimahullah commented:

“These words are clear and manifest misguidance. If he wished to make a Jew superior to Allaah, free is He from imperfection, the Most High, then he is a disbeliever (i.e. apostate). And if he intended that the Jews and Christians and the worshippers of the cow and chickens and others are very many in number yet they do not vote for Allaah, then this is another matter, however it is still clear misguidance (on al-Qaradawi's behalf). For verily our Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, is not in need of voting, for He, free is He of all imperfection is the one who says "Be" to something and it is. He is the one who destroyed Fir'aun. and He destroyed Qaarun. and He destroyed many nations, from amongst those who exceeded beyond bounds and who stood in the faces of the Prophets of Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic. So he aided the Prophets and gave them victory, in this life and the Next. Voting is only needed by a weak man, O Pauper!....Have you disbelieved O Qaradawi or have you brought yourself nearer?
[Silencing the Hounding Dog, pp. 110-112].

After these words were played to him, Shaikh Ibn Uthaimeen rahimahullah said:

“I seek refuge in Allaah. It is obligatory for this person to repent. And if he does not he should be killed as an apostate, since he made the creation more knowledgeable than the Creator. It is upon him to repent to Allaah, so if he repents, then Allaah forgives the sins of His servants. And if not then the authorities should strike his neck.”

The Methodology of the Salaf in Reacting to the Deaths of the Heads of Innovation

Alī ibn Abī Tālib رضي الله عنه rejoiced at the death of the head of the Khawārij Dhā Ath-Thudayyah. When he was certain of his death, he fell down in prostration out of gratitude for Allāh, whilst acknowledging the fact that the Khawārij are Muslim.

[Musnad Ahmad: 1/107]

Likewise. Mu’aawiyah ibn Abī Sufyān رضي الله عنه rejoiced much at the death of Al-Ashtar An-Nakh’ī who was one of the people who incited the killing of ‘Uthmān رضي الله عنه

[Al-Bidāyah Wa An-Nihāyah: 10/655]

Likewise Bishr ibn Al-Hārith رحمه الله said when he heard of the death of Al-Marīsī:

All Praise is due to Allāh who caused him to die! This is what you should say!

[Tārīkh Baghdād: 7/531]

Al-Mirīsī was from the figureheads of the Mu’tazilah, who denied that Allāh will be seen on the Day of Judgment, and denied the punishment of the grave, and denied the scale of deeds and denied the intercession.

Salamah ibn Shubayb Al-Hajrī رحمه الله said:

I was with Abdurrazāq, then there came [the news of] the death of Abdulmajīd, and that was the year 206 hijri. And he said:

All Praise is due to Allāh who relieved the Ummah of Muhammad from Abdulmajīd!

[Tahdheeb Al-Kamāl: 18/275]

Abdulmajīd ibn Abdulazīz was from the figureheads of the Murji’ah. As Imam Ahmad described him to be one who has “extremism in his Irjā”. Also Abū Dāwūd described him to be “the heads of Irjā”. Ya’qūb Al-Fasawī described him to be “an innovator who is a caller [to his innovation]

Today, we have been given the glad tidings of the death of Yūsuf Al-Qardhāwī, who was a from the callers to innovation and deviation. So All Praise is due to Allāh who has relieved us from him!

💠💠 The Virtue of Sūrah Al-Baqarah and it's Barakah 💠💠

Our Noble Shaykh Abul-Yamān Adnān Al-Masqarī, may Allāh preserve and protect him, said:

Sūrah Al-Baqarah is barakah (blessing). By Allāh, amazing barakah. For how many people complain regarding an affair, they complain about magic, possession or evil-eye, so we advise him with Sūrah Al-Baqarah and he reads it, and then all of what he was suffering from goes away. So it is not befitting for the Muslim to be negligent towards this Sūrah. It has come that the Prophet ﷺ said :

《من قرأ بالآيتين من أواخر سورة البقرة في ليلة كفتاه》

"Whoever recites the last two verses from Sūrah Al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him."
[Abū Mas'ūd Al-Badrī - Agreed upon]

It has been said regarding "they will suffice him" that it will suffice him [from performing] the night prayer, and it has been said that they will suffice him from the evil of every evil one during that night. Also, regarding Sūrah Al-Baqarah:

《إن البيت الذي تقرأ فيه سورة البقرة لينفر منه الشيطان》

"Verily, Shaytān runs away from the house in which Sūrah Al-Baqarah is recited".

It has come in some wordings:

《الذي تقرأ فيه سورة البقرة ثلاث ليال》

"(The house) in which Sūrah Al-Baqarah is recited for three nights".

And it has come in some:

《إن البيت الذي تقرأ فيه سورة البقرة ينفر منه الشيطان ثلاث ليال》

"Verily Shaytān runs away from the house in which Sūrah Al-Baqarah is recited for three nights".

Whether it's this wording or the other, the addition of "three nights" is weak. Nonetheless, we advise anyone who complains of evil eye, envy, feeling tight chested in his house, a lot of issues between him and his family, severe sadness, severe depression or anxiety, tiredness; especially once he enters the house. Or the woman who complains of feeling tight chested towards her husband, or a lot of problems, or bad manners from herself or her husband; all of this is not natural. The origin of the life of a believer is goodness, his life is happy, and these affairs don't occur in a believers house (in which it's inhabitants are) preserving the prayers, far from music, television and prohibited pictures. Except if it was to happen due to envy, or evil-eye or possession from the shaytān or magic. And the cure for all of this is Sūrah Al-Baqarah.

Read Sūrah Al-Baqarah and by Allāh you will see an amazing impact from the first day. Some of those from whom we've heard their stories, they had big issues, so (in one case) he read Sūrah Al-Baqarah the first day, second day, he didn't come to complete the third day except that the magic, evil-eye, and envy had all gone.

So be on guard with regards to your life and don't punish yourself. As for those who torment themselves with sins and their houses are completely filled with harām affairs, television etc; these have brought the shayātīn into their homes. They welcomed the depression, anxiety and sadness. They brought in the means of agony in this dunyā, and the punishment of the ākhirah is worse. The calamity of sins is enormous.

Some people are rightous and their household is rightous nonetheless they still complain of these affairs; read Sūrah Al-Baqarah, seek refuge in Allāh, read your daily adhkār (rememberences).

It has reached us that one of the brothers came across an unexpected matter in his life and he was continously feeling tight chested, so he read Sūrah Al-Baqarah and behold the wall cracked open. The wall cracked open, the wall split. He then asked some of the mashāyikh and brothers and they said perhaps there is something there in the wall, read. So he read and it cracked open more, so they destroyed the (rest) of that area and found magic inside placed there by the one who built it.

Who is the one that cracked open the wall? Allāh. This Sūrah Al-Baqarah is not
a light affair. The Prophet ﷺ has said:

《أخذها بركة وتركها حسرة 》

"(Read Sūrah Al-Baqarah) for indeed doing so is a blessing, and leaving it off is a regret". [Muslim]
Likewise, one of the women said that she suddenly began disliking her husband so she separated from him, and every time a man seeking her in marriage came she wouldn't desire him. So she complained to some rightous sisters and thereafter read Sūrah Al-Baqarah and Allāh guided her. Whilst she was reading Sūrah Al-Baqarah third time round, she fell asleep and saw something coming out of her feet similar to a scorpion so she hit it and it died. After she stood up and felt some pain in her leg, and alhamdulillāh Allāh cured her. Then when a man came for marriage she accepted and her life was pleasant.

The main point from this is, (the reciting) of Sūrah Al-Baqarah is barakah (blessing). The barakah is not restricted to your life, but also in your provisions, children, your knowledge, in your da'wah, body, hearing, vision; if you read it for the sake of Allāh then rejoice.

Some people of knowledge mention that Sūrah Al-Baqarah contains one thousand commands, one thousand prohibitions and one thousand reports. Sūrah Al-Baqarah.

"And leaving it off is a regret", meaning, whoever leaves it off then it will be means of sorrow for him.

"And the Batala cannot confront it", meaning the magicians cannot confront it. Thus, we have been informed by some of our brothers in A'moud that Shaykh Yahyā (may Allāh preserve him) reads it everyday. Everyday. And if he didn't finish it during the night he did so after fajr. Everyday he read it. Therefore if a person is able to read it everyday then let him do so. Our Shaykh (Yahyā) may Allāh preserve him, before he begins his daily amount of reading in which he reads 3, 4 ajzā (of the Qur'ān) in one sitting, before he starts that he reads Sūrah Al-Baqarah. This is without a doubt tawfīq (success) from Allāh Jal wa 'alā, and there isn't any stipulation with regards to its reading, so whoever is able to read it everyday, or twice in a day; may Allāh reward him with good. Whoever is able to read it every week, yes. As for the one who reads it every month then this is the lazy one. So what do you perceive about the one who only reads it during Ramadān? This is the situation of the majority of the creation. Yes. ❞

Males teaching women Qurʿān behind a veil

Sheikh Albani rahimahullah said:

“If a Qurʿān teacher (Muqri') were to teach women over the phone and they recite to him and he hears their voices, then the ruling is as if he heard their voices from behind a veil without seeing their bodies.

Despite that, Fitnah occurs in both cases; whether he hears her voice directly without the presence of these means of transmission, or he hears her voice through these means of transmission, because in both cases he hears her actual voice.

Moreover, the voice of a woman is not 'Awrah, contrary to what has become widespread amongst people - provided it is her natural voice!

As for reciting and beautifying her recitation using Iqlāb, Ith-hār and other than that, like the Madd Muttasil and Munfasil; which is known as Tajwīd, and we also have the statement of the Prophet ﷺ:

((لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ لَمْ يَتَغَنَّ بِالْقُرْآنِ))

“Whoever does not recite the Qur'ān in a beautiful melodious manner is not from us.”

So she is required to beautify her recitation of the Qur'ān, WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY INAPPROPRIATE FOR HER TO DO IN FRONT OF (non-mahram) MEN, whether that takes place via radio or over the phone.”

Responding to doubts regarding the Mawlid

If someone was to say: Why do you not celebrate the Mawlid of the Prophet ?

Then say: Did the Prophet celebrate it? Or did Abū Bakr, Umar, Uthmān or Alī celebrate it? Rather did anyone from the righteous predecessors celebrate it?

He will say: No!

Then say: Then why do you celebrate on this day which no one has preceded in from the people of guidance?

He will say: However, there is in it good! Is it from innovation to do good?!

Then say: Good is in the Qur’ān and Sunnah, and that which the Prophet legislated. If it was good, the companions would have preceded us to it.

Either you have found a guidance better than the guidance of the Prophet , or you are upon clear deviation!

If he was to say: Are we going to be punished because we celebrate the mawlid of the Prophet ?

Then we say: This doubt has been refuted by the leader of the tābi’īn, who is Abū Muhammad Sa’eed ibn Musayyab as was reported by Al-Bayhaqī (2/466), Abdurrazzāq in his Musannaf (3/52) and Ad-Dārimī in his Sunan (1/482) that he saw a man praying more than 2 units of prayer after sunrise, and he was doing much rukū’ and sujūd. So he prohibited him.

The man said to him: O Abā Muhammad! Will Allāh punish me because of prayer?!

He said:

“No! However he will punish you for opposing the Sunnah!”

So this is a شبهة واهية (weak doubt) that has already been refuted by our Salaf رضوان الله تعالى عليهم

If they were to say: Then tell me, what do you do on the 12th of Rabī’ Al-Awwal every year?

Then reply: Before I answer, it’s important for you to know a few things:

Firstly, the historians differed on which day the Prophet was born. Some said:

2nd of Rabī’ Al-Awwal
8th of Rabī’ Al-Awwal
9th of Rabī’ Al-Awwal
10th of Rabī’ Al-Awwal
12th of Rabī’ Al-Awwal
17th of Rabī’ Al-Awwal
18th of Rabī’ Al-Awwal

Rather, they differed in the month he was born in. Was he was born in Ramadān or Rabī’ Al-Awwal?

Secondly, the historians mention the Prophet died on Yawmul Ithnayn [Monday] 12th of Rabī’ Al-Awwal. So the day the Prophet was born [as they claim] was the day he died. So why is rejoicing/celebrating given precedence over grief on that day, when he died on that day? Rather, some scholars mention that this was deliberately done by the Fātimiyūn to celebrate the death of the Prophet !

Thirdly, the companions did not celebrate his birthday, and you yourselves acknowledge this! So we say as Imām Mālik رحمه الله said:

“What was not [considered] from the religion then will not be [considered] from the religion today!”

[Al-I’tisām: 18]

Imām Mālik said that in the second century, which is from the generations which the Prophet mentioned them to be from the best, so what do you think about the 15th century?

You have no one who preceded you in this affair except the Fātimiyūn, who falsely ascribe themselves to Fātimah رضي الله عنها, as proven by Adh-Dhahabī. Also, Abū Shāmah mentions that their lineage either goes back to a Majūsī or a Jew. For this reason the scholars refer to them as Ubaydiyyūn which is an ascription to Ubaydullāh Al-Mahdī who was from the first rulers of this group.

Not to mention, that they are a disbelievers ascribing to Islām. They would claim the knowledge of the unseen, claim prophethood and worthiness of worship, openly speak ill of some of the prophets, permit alcohol, insult the companions and so on. And they hijacked this tradition from the Christians.

So what evil predecessors do you have to follow and imitate!

فَأَیۡنَ تَذۡهَبُونَ

{Then where are you going?}

[Takwīr: 26]
