Insha'Allah, tonight we start Week 2 of our special summer course aimed at "bridging the gap" between English grammar and Arabic grammar.

Last summer, in Part 1, we covered parts of speech (e.g. nouns, verbs, adjectives, prepositions etc.) and this summer we are focusing on sentence structure (e.g. subjects, predicates, objects, sentences vs. clauses, what is kalaam, etc.) and punctuation.

All lessons are recorded and all course materials are provided.

Al-Ḥasan al-Baṣrī (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

Increase your istighfār in your homes, at your dining tables, along your pathways, in your marketplaces, in your gatherings, and wherever you may be—for you do not know at which moment blessings (of Allah) may descend.[1]

Imam ash-Shafi'i said:
"I love abundant blessings upon the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in every circumstance, and I recommend it even more on the day of Friday and its night. I also love the recitation of al-Kahf on the night of Friday as well as its day, due to what has been narrated therein."

The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم  said: {Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on a Friday, light shall shine forth for him between that Friday and the other.} Related by an-Nasaa'i.

وبالله التوفيق
