Kassimeris argued that since Papadopoulos played a large role in writing the 1952 manifesto, that it was his "personal ambition" rather than an objective fear of the Greek communists that was driving him forward because in no way could Greece be presented as being on the brink of a communist take-over in 1952.

Greece was a vital link in the NATO defence arc which extended from the eastern border of Iran to the northernmost point in Norway. Greece in particular was seen as being at risk, having experienced a communist insurgency. In particular, the newly founded Hellenic National Intelligence Service (EYP) and the Mountain Raiding Companies (LOK) maintained a very close liaison with their American counterparts. In addition to preparing for a Soviet invasion, they agreed to guard against a left-wing coup. The LOK in particular were integrated into the European “stay-behind network”.
Ultimately this meant that Greece’s interests were not her own, but those of the United States of America via the CIA.

Finnish Waffen-SS volunteers who have just returned from the Eastern Front on the german freighter "Warthe" in Hanko, Finland.
The Finnish Volunteer Battalion of the Waffen-SS (Finnishes Freiwiligen-Bataillon der Waffen-SS) was a motorized infantery battalion of the German Waffen-SS during WW2.
It was formed from finnish volunteers and fought on the Eastern Front as a part of the SS Division Wiking. About 1400 served in the battalion during it's existance. 🇫🇮🇩🇪
The photo was taken in 1 June 1943 and the colorisation was done by Julius Jääskeläinen.

President Biden claims America will violate a nations’s sovereignty in order to pursue its geo-political goals. The nation in question is Germany. The reporter asks how the US will mobilize troops against Russia without the governing consent of the Germans, to which he simply states, “I promise you, we will be able to do it.”
THE REASON:
The Bundesrepublik of Germany is an occupational government installed by the Allied Powers in 1945. Legally, the Third Reich is still the sovereign government of the German nation. There was no peace treaty that was ever signed with the Third Reich’s state. There was only an official surrender by the German Wehrmacht forces via Admiral Karl Dönitz.
What this means is that the USA is still in a cold war against the Germans. It means that Germany is American occupied territory and that the US does not need the legal permission of the Germans who are still very much an enemy of the Americans.
