The Department of Biotechnology at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) is inviting applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in a DBT-funded research project under the supervision of Prof. Arumugam Rajavelu.
Project Details:
Title: Functional studies on unconventional epigenetic marks in Plasmodium falciparum and their role in parasite virulence
Position Details:
Duration: Initially for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
Job Role:
Conducting biochemical and cell biology assays to study epigenetic modifications.
Maintaining Plasmodium falciparum cultures for research experiments.
Investigating the role of unconventional epigenetic marks in parasite virulence.
Eligibility Criteria:
Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or a related field.
Desirable Skills: Experience in epigenetics, parasite culture, and molecular biology techniques.
Fellowship: As per DBT norms.
