NASA says sea levels rose/increased/went up more than expected in 2024. Scientists thought they would rise by 0.43 cm, but they increased by 0.59 cm. This happened because ocean water got warmer and more glaciers melted/thawed/liquefied.

2024 was also the hottest/warmest/highest-temperature year ever recorded, with temperatures 1.6°C higher than in the past. About two-thirds of the sea level rise happened because warm water expanded, and melting ice caused the rest.

Some countries are trying to use clean energy, but others, like the US, are reducing/weakening/relaxing climate rules. Scientists say countries need to work/cooperate/collaborate together to stop the problem. If temperatures keep rising, sea levels will go up even faster, which could be dangerous for people living near the ocean.

Because of this, he got fewer roles in Hollywood. In 2022, he returned in Top Gun: Maverick, playing Iceman again. His character had the same sickness/illness/ailment he had in real life, which made the scene very emotional.

Many people are sad about his death and remember his great movies, which will continue to be loved for years.

A volunteer, Matthias Wagner, helps them practice/drill/rehearse things like wheelies and getting up after falling. Matthias started using a wheelchair only a year ago, so he understands how difficult/challenging/arduous it can be at first. He says that when people first get a wheelchair, they often feel very confused/dazed/bewildered.

The Roly Kids meet every week to get better at using their wheelchairs and to have fun. Matthias tells parents not to worry too much about their children because they need to learn to do things themselves. The Roly Kids’ motto is to learn through fun while getting confident/positive/assured and becoming more independent.
