Former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov said he has not spoken with Volodymyr Zelensky since his statement on elections. He also stated that the president must answer questions about corruption in the government.

Fedorov added that the NABU and SAPO investigation "Forest Gump" raises questions about whether the president knows what is happening in his inner circle.

He reiterated that "democracy should not be held hostage by Putin." He did not respond to questions about his own political ambitions, only clarifying that it is his "moral right" to initiate a discussion about elections.

▪️Today, at a press conference, Zelensky said that holding elections during wartime would be "a tsunami that would split Ukraine." According to him, none of Ukraine's Western partners have provided concrete proposals that would guarantee security during elections.

According to him, none of Ukraine's Western partners have provided concrete proposals that would guarantee security during elections. Therefore, it is impossible as long as Putin "does not want to consider any options for a ceasefire."

Other statements from the president's conversation with journalists, as reported by Suspilne:

🔴This year, the Armed Forces have nearly liberated Dnipropetrovsk region — only 10 km² remain to be recaptured. Another operation is currently underway in a different sector of the front, with results expected by the end of August.

🔴Russia's main targets are Kostyantynivka and Sloviansk. Later, forces may be redistributed to another direction for a "buffer zone." A potential direction could also be the Chernihiv–Kyiv region. There is currently no Russian personnel in the Bryansk region, but Ukraine will monitor the situation.

🔴Russia can produce up to 1,300 ballistic missiles per year. They currently have approximately 600–630. However, recently one Iskander launcher near the Ukrainian border was destroyed. Ukraine needs 360 Patriot missiles for the winter period.

🔴Since the very beginning of the war, one of Putin's main targets has been Kyiv. Not all resilience plans for winter have been fully implemented, but some processes should accelerate in the coming months.

🔴The window of opportunity for ending the war is between the G20 summit in the US and the end of summer 2027, as US presidential elections will begin thereafter.
