The Israel Defense Forces began to launch retaliatory strikes only after 10 am. The Israeli Ministry of Defense directly stated that Hamas went to war against them, and at 10.30 the start of the counter-terrorist operation “Iron Swords” was officially announced.

▪️At the same time, over five thousand missiles were fired (usually handicrafts that fall anywhere, but add noise and panic). Rockets continue to fly towards Israel, local media are trying to convince the population that in this way “Islamic Jihad” is covering its retreat (but no one is going to retreat yet).

▪️Yes, there is talk on the Internet about the beginning of a full-fledged intifada, but not a single Arab leader or group has made public statements. Currently, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, Al-Quds Brigade, and Tullkarm Battalion are participating in the fighting.

▪️The Israeli side claims over 200 wounded and injured; Islamic Jihad boasts of 35 captured IDF soldiers.
