Написанное ровно пять лет назад. Каждый день прошедшего времени неисправимо подтвердил каждое из слов. Поэтому вот ещё раз:
Вчера мне об этом рассказал один из удивительных людей. Один из немногих, живущих не из страха перед клеткой, а от любви к ветру.
Если бы этой истории не случились, ее стоило бы придумать. Если бы мы не смогли ее придумать, она бы обязательно нашла нас во сне.
Это произошло в одной южноамериканской стране, залитой сегодня (и вчера и позавчера и завтра) кровью.
В кафе одного уютного туристического городка зашла девочка и попросила у него - инопланетного гринго - денег. И потом - еды, потому что голодная. Точнее нет, не попросила. Предъявила своё право. И даже нет. Дала понять, что ЭТО ВСЕ тоже ее. Без обид, унижений и скандалов. Уверено, спокойно, НЕ ОТСЮДА. И потом посмотрела на него.
Этот взгляд останется впечатан в сердце на весь путь по эту сторону жизни. Это был взгляд его жены, которая ушла и осталась и он до сих пор не знает, кто это был. Это даже не тема вечно невыясненных взаимоотношений между жизнь и смертью, это куда страшнее и прекраснее. Это то, что время от времени заставляет нас выдумывать религии и искусства. Взгляд вневременный, неуместный, липкий, как жизнь.
Он почувствовал, что что бы в этой стране и этом мире ни происходило, сколько бы смерть ни умножалась и ни воспроизводилась - перед абсолютом этого взгляда, все это ничего не значит. Как и наша игра в жизнь. Все просто стало на своё место. Эти глаза смотрели оттуда, откуда все можно вернуть на своё место.
Кто-нибудь когда-нибудь сможет рассказать об этом менее сумбурно или точнее. Может быть. Сегодняшняя ночь была плаванием или полетом в поисках этого взгляда. Надеюсь, его получатель простит меня, что я рассказываю здесь об этом. Вышла передозировка света, которую не могу удержать в себе.

Я солдат - мне не положено превращаться в глазунью. Но и как солдат я видел в определенной открытости рецепт к оздоровлению. Моя позиция стояла на двух постулатах: критика должна быть только конструктивной, и критикуешь - предлагай. Моё счастье, что я, прежде всего, практик, и могу на земле реализовать свою потребность быть полезным. Но недавно я услышал фразу: непопулярная война, - и меня она резанула. Услышал от человека, который даже входит в какую-то там организацию при Министерстве обороны. Вот, - думаю, - как некоторые уже начали рассуждать. Да война в принципе не должна быть популярной, или нет - она может быть справедливой, может быть Священной... Но всегда - страшной необходимостью. Но в целом - с обществом нужно работать: если оно будет молчать - это не значит, что оно перестанет думать.
