Как-то был в гостях в Государственной Думе у моего хорошего товарища-коммуниста Казбека Тайсаева. У него в кабинете встретил Питерских строителей мостов, а точнее— дамб: представители проектного института спроектировали дамбу со шлюзом, соединяющую Керчь и Тамань. Они обратились к Казбеку, чтобы получить политическую поддержку— утверждали, что дамба, наподобие той, что защищает Ленинград, будет в три раза дешевле, и, очевидно, долговечней и надежнее, чем любой мост. Возможные проблемы с экологией перекрываются надежностью конструкции при природных катаклизмах или терактах. Проектировщики утверждали, что их проект был отклонён комиссией из-за того, что строить дёшево никому не выгодно.

Вспомните как быстро насыпали в своё время Тузлинскую косу: насыпать грунт действительно можно быстро и недорого.
Возможно, версия проектировщиков о мотивах отказа их проекту— неправда, и причина не в низкой стоимости. Но если бы действительно тогда построили дамбу, а не мост, мы бы не имели столько проблем сейчас.

I often remember bridge builders from St. Petersburg. I already wrote about it. There were several options for building a corridor between mainland Russia and the Crimean peninsula: a tunnel, a dam and a bridge. Various types of bridge. As the designers from St. Petersburg assured me, the dam was the cheapest option. And most importantly - the most reliable. We chose the bridge.

Notice how important strategic decisions are. NATO is supplying weapons to Ukraine to cut the land corridor to Crimea. If successful, all efforts will be aimed at undermining the Crimean bridge and the complete isolation of the Crimean peninsula. All news agencies of the world are following the preparation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the offensive.
But imagine if the Crimean bridge were not a bridge, but a dam. A rocket will hit the dam. A truck will drive up and fill the hole in the asphalt with rubble. A stronger rocket or several - several KAMAZ trucks. Then interrupting the supply and isolating the Crimea would be impossible in principle. And if so, then the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine would be pointless. One decision in the past radically changes the geopolitical situation in the present.

"I can arm one million people”: Prigozhin showed the treasures of Soledar mines.

The head of PMC Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, showed a part of the old Soviet military warehouses, located in the old mines near the city of Soledar, formerly at disposal of the Kiev government.

Prigozhin said that a huge amount of obsolete small arms, such as the Thompson submachine gun, PPSh-41 submachine gun, among others, and ammunition for them, are stored there.

According to the head of “Wagner”, all weapons are in excellent condition and usable.

“I can arm one million people,” said Prigozhin and proposed to use these weapons to arm the people's militia of Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, regularly suffering from attacks by the Ukrainian army.

Soledar was liberated by PMC Wagner in January.
