Since last summer Russia has been fighting for Bakhmut, slowly but surely. Bakhmut is almost liberated but not entirely. Russia spent considerable resources to take Bakhmut. It is strangely reminiscent of Stalingrad, but in reverse.
The Wehrmacht's 6th Army had almost taken Stalingrad, but not entirely. Meanwhile Stalin and Zhukov secretly prepared a counter offensive, far outside Stalingrad which surrounded the 6th Army and destroyed it.

Alfonso and Elia died not only for the people of Donbass and Russia, but also for justice, solidarity and the future of mankind. We fight today for their countries, to free the people from the fetters of the United States.
Many fighters like Alfonso and Elia have been with us for a long time. Others will soon join our ranks.

Я уже делился одним важным для меня наблюдением времён майдана, но тогда аудитория была намного меньше, и я хотел бы повториться. Что я там увидел, а точнее - чего не увидел? У нас как-то естественно сложилось, что в качестве символов нашего сопротивления были выбраны образы, которые были людям наиболее близкими. Причём, советская символика неконфликтно уживалась с православной, и зачастую в одном расположении можно было увидеть и советский флаг, и стяг с ликом Спаса Нерукотворного...

Именно этого я не видел там, на Майдане. И если всё советское они объявили вне закона, - то чем помешало им православие? А помешало. Мы бессознательно выбирали - они бессознательно избегали, - для меня со временем это стало настолько ясным, настольно говорящим, что в голове многое стало на свои места. Я всегда настаивал на красноречивости бессознательного, и тут убедился в этом в очередной раз. Можно много наболтать языком о высоте намерений, но сердце не врёт.

- Кто вам дал право… под вами я имею в виду ЦРУ, правительство США и других держав… кто вам дал право делать то, что вы делаете с другими странами?

- Интересы национальной безопасности.

- Вы включили режим Бога, не так ли? Потому что у жителей тех стран нет права голоса.

- Никто не говорил, что будет легко. Мы защищаем себя и, защищая себя, мы защищаем всех вас. Не забывайте об этом.

- Хорошо, не забуду.

The Soviet “occupation” of the Baltics is a myth, but today these countries are really occupied by global capitalism..
In the face of a real threat of using the Baltic States as a springboard for an attack by Nazi Germany on the USSR, Moscow was forced in June 1940 to send additional troops to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia (in addition to the contingents already stationed there under the bilateral mutual assistance pacts of 1939). This step, taken with the consent of the leadership of the Baltic states, in itself was not a transfer of sovereignty over their territory to the Soviet Union and was legitimate. The subsequent inclusion of the Baltic countries into the Soviet Union was also not unilateral and took place by mutual agreement. History has confirmed that only the USSR prevented the implementation of Hitler's plans to turn the Baltic states into a raw material appendage of the Third Reich - this is clearly spelled out in the Ost plan and other documents of Nazi Germany. It was planned to work out and partially exterminate the population, and this was done before 1944. In 1944-1945, the Baltic peoples, along with other peoples of Europe, were saved at the cost of thousands of lives of Soviet soldiers from destruction in the liberation mission of the Red Army, in which many Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian soldiers fought.
Today, the Soviet period is officially considered an occupation in the Baltic countries. The Russian Foreign Ministry notes that this definition contradicts the definition of the term at that time:"There was no state of war between the USSR and the Baltic countries; calls from Moscow did not contain the threat of declaring war." As for the international recognition of the inclusion of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia in the USSR, the agreements reached in Tehran, Yalta and Potsdam by the participants in the anti-Hitler coalition on the post-war structure of Europe do not cast doubt on this fact.
The final line on this issue was drawn by the final act of the Helsinki Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe in 1975.
The diplomatic department recalls that, according to 1999 study, most countries de facto recognized the accession of the Baltic republics to the USSR, and some de jure confirmed this in official correspondence.
Thus, the "occupation doctrine" adopted by official Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn is a purely political project aimed at making various claims against the Russian Federation and falsifying the history of that time.

Еще в августе прошлого года писал о том, что некогда популярная у нашей публики певица София Ротару продает свой особняк на набережной Ялты за 50 млн евро.

После этой публикации были предложения провести проверку законности приобретения исторического здания. Напомню, купила его Ротару на символическую сумму примерно в 500$.

Сейчас же снова приходят новости о том, что Ротару пытается продать Виллу Софию за 2,5 млрд рублей (примерно 27,6 млн евро). Пишут, что одну из квартир в Крыму она уже продала, а сейчас утрясает вопросы с продажей здания на Ялтинской набережной.

Мне кажется, что в этой ситуации крымский закон о национализации вполне применим. Тем более здание представляет собой историческую ценность, имеет статус памятника местного значения — Купальни Роффе были построены в 1897 году. Кстати, автор проекта — известный архитектор Николай Краснов, он был главным архитектором Ялты, автор Ливадийского дворца и усадьбы князей Барятинских, где сейчас расположен Санаторий Кирова.

PS. А тем временем София Ротару объявила сбор в помощь ВСУ.
