Понимаете, можно же ведь сидеть и ждать, что гроза пройдёт стороной, а потом удивляться - как так случилось, что беда оказалась на пороге. Всё взаимосвязано, а сейчас события развиваются так, что позиция "хатаскрайности" выльется потом слезами. Вот здесь, на Донбассе нужно встречать врага. Так уж вышло, что мой многострадальный край вынужден принимать удары на себя - это его судьба, это следствие его мужественного поступка. Важно помнить, что каждый, кто примет решение присоединиться к нам - он идёт в сложившуюся семью, чтобы стать её частью.

В четырнадцатом году Горловка, Донецко-Макеевская агломерация и примыкающая к ней Ясиноватая, города на Луганщине, вокруг которых проходила линия фронта - сами по себе являлись " инженерными сооружениями", препятствовавшими продвижению противника. Когда мы выбили ВСУ из Ясиноватой, то для её последующей обороны я успел сформировать восемнадцать позиций по всему периметру города. В полевых условиях этого было бы катастрофически недостаточно на протяжённую дистанцию, но город сам по себе не давал штурмующим нас частям двигаться там, где им хотелось бы, а там, где он мог бы прорваться - стояли мы..

На просторах донецких, луганских и прочих степей всё иначе. Прорви враг нашу оборону - и путь чист.... пока снова не упрется в города. Мы должны понимать, что угроза существует и для Луганска, и для Донецка, и для Белгорода... Мы должны понимать, и должны быть готовы, чтобы не повторилась херсонская история. Как Бахмут сегодня поглощает как наши, так и ресурсы противника - так и Херсон мог сковать всю украинскую армию, и сегодня мы бы не сидели и не гадали, где они пойдут и куда выйдут. Днепр и проблема снабжения через него - слабый на фоне Сталинграда аргумент, - отсутствие мотивации аргумент. Но ладно с Херсоном - дело болезненное, но дело прошлое.... Давайте думать дальше.

By itself, such a strip will not stop the enemy, but if it is backed up by military observation and fire, then the enemy, having stopped against an impenetrable obstacle, will slow down, huddle into mass, and under the fire of our artillery will no longer think about the offensive, but about saving his own skin."
