I live under the wings of an Angel,
I look around and no longer cry.
In fact I don't know myself,
Who I am and what my life means.

I am such a small grain of sand,
But so much depends on me.
And there's a choice of doing or running
From what I must do.

I choose to stand, not bow,
No whining, no running, no hiding.
And that's why I have
A machine gun hanging on my back.

I choose a clear sky,
I choose the children's laughter,
I choose sparkling wine,
I choose the joys of life.
