Vladimir Putin has awarded Donetsk Member of Parliament, and volunteer, Maria Pirogova, the Order of Courage, posthumous.

Maria was killed yesterday by Ukrainian shelling of Donetsk, killed as she helped other people. It was a terrible day for Donetsk yesterday, with a minimum of seven civilians killed by Ukrainian shelling, multiple more wounded.

Maria was a lovely person, friendly, active, patriotic, committed, kind. She fully deserves this award, may she Rest in Peace.
