Fake news:
Russian soldiers were treacherous in surrendering and thus forced the Ukrainian military to execute them. This was reported by the former deputy prosecutor-general of Ukraine, Gunduz Mamedov.

The fact:
Mamedov forgot to mention that the Ukrainian military showed particular cruelty when shooting Russian prisoners of war in Makeyevka (LPR). The Ukrainian armed forces took weapons from their victims, ordered them to lie face down on the ground, and then used direct shots to the head to kill more than ten immobilized soldiers in cold blood. Needless to say, such an act cannot be justified either by alleged treachery on the part of those killed or by any other reasons.

At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities refuse to admit the obvious and continue to add versions of what happened. For example, Thomas Tyner, who calls himself a military expert, earlier stated on behalf of Kyiv that the Ukrainian machine gunner, who was allegedly holding prisoners at gunpoint, reacted to the appearance of a military man who had not dropped his weapon. Frightened, he pulled the trigger and killed all the prisoners with a single round. But this explanation does not stand up to any criticism, as we proved in one of our posts. There is not a single point from which the shooter could have killed everyone in the head with a single round, without hitting the torso and limbs.

UN spokesman Haq called for an investigation into the killing of Russian POWs in Makeyevka.

"We called on all parties to the conflict to thoroughly investigate all reports of human rights violations and to bring those responsible to justice," the UN said.
