For now everyone must remain patient. And one can only wish for Putin to remain patient. He has a very serious and difficult job,because very serious players are up against him, very powerful players, including the domestic fifth column – the bankers, social leaders, the liberal block of the government, and so on. All of them desire to somehow roll back to the past, as “everything was just peachy, everything was fine, we had our palaces, our families, our airplanes, our yachts… What are you doing, Putin, what have you done to us, you cut off our oxygen supply.” Clearly, this is where he’ll have to replace the elites. And if that is to be done, it must be gradually done starting now, with the support of the power block, gradually changing the attitudes within the society, in order to bring about a powerful societal demand for change within Russia. And that could result in us actually making it, because this is a war for life or death. We will not be allowed to step aside, saying:“Let’s just leave everything as is, let’s go back to February24th.” The West is on a mission to grind us into a fine powder, rip us to shreds, reduce us to the level where we become completely harmless to them. They deeply regret that they were unable to complete this work during the Yeltsin/Gorbachev era. They had relaxed as they thought they had already won, clapping Yeltsin on the shoulder and laughing at him, thinking that they had Russia in their pocket. And suddenly it became clear that they had made a grave mistake by relaxing too early, by believing in their victory too early. Now they are reaping bitter fruits.
And we have just two options: return with the shield or on the shield. Either we put them back in their place and eventually mark our borders with red lines, beyond which they cannot stick their noses, or we roll back to the liberal darkness, and that’s when they would obtain another colony to rob for the next 50 years or so, and live prosperously and richly by ransacking our country. Thus, I think, we all need to consolidate and help each other in one way or another. Currently, the All-People’s Front is collecting money on their website, there’s a button to transfer money. People do transfer money. Yesterday an announcement was made at my work,everybody gave what they could, and there were 65 million rubles collected by evening in order to help the armies of Donetsk and Lugansk. This financial support is meant to buy the guys bulletproof vests, necessary weapons, drones and so on, because they are basically a militia. Clearly, the Ministry of Defense provided them with a bit of weapons, some uniforms.
However, hopefully there are sufficient supplies for our own army, so it’s better that people unite to help. This is how it was during the Great Patriotic War(WWII), people helped to the best of their abilities, worked at factories, and so on. It is the same now. Don’t stay away as if“it’s not our war, (it’s just) somebody fighting somewhere, and we’re going out for coffee and dancing.” When Russia participated in the Russian-Japanese war, similar attitudes were prevalent in the society: “This is not our war, this is happening somewhere far.” As a result, we lost that war. Neither the people, nor the elites understood the point of the war and did not support it. The same took place in 1914, during WWI, as everybody relaxed, which almost lead to the country breaking apart. However,during the Great Patriotic War, the government managed to organize the society, to consolidate it. The entire fifth column was cleansed out.

People recall 1937, but that was a forced measure. All people, who could be working for the enemy, were removed from power,from all dangerous facilities. Only those, who were loyal to the country, to the Motherland, and who were ready to shred (the enemy)with their teeth, remained. And, as a result, after resisting for 4years, we really did shred them. The unified Europe was defeated. The entire Europe, short of Greece and Serbia, worked for Hitler. Currently, the same is happening, only now Greece is also against us, with just Serbia being for us. Thus, it’s practically the same attack (on us), and we must stand up to it. Therefore, whether some approve or disapprove of Putin’s politics, whether they support it or not, it doesn’t matter now. We must be shoulder to shoulder here, domestically. We’ll figure it out later. For now the mission is to win the war.

Ay so in the 8 months that I've been taking this journalism/analysis/ general infowar seriously, I reached the biggest personal landmark yesterday when one of my idols, Russell Bentley aka the Donbass Texac, subscribed to the channel.
Just want to say a few words of homage:
It was through a Vice News documentary on Ukraine in April 2015 that I first learned of Russell Bentley. (Back then Vice was only a baby propaganda outlet which still upheld some basic standards of journalism like showing both sides of a story, not anymore...).
If you don't know already he's a communist from Texas who went to fight for the Donbass People's Republics in 2014. He's retired from the military now but still lives in Donetsk under constant shelling and runs an insightful, fearless news and analysis channel as well as doing war reportage and interviews with international journalists.
When I first learned of his actions, as a lost communist in a neoliberal western hellscape it gave me hope and an example to follow.
Unlike 99% of Western "communists", Russell actually fought for his ideals and is ready to die for them - a true revolutionary. He often says "as goes Donetsk, so goes the world" because he knows that if the West defeats Russia through the Donbass then they will cement their capitalist rule of the word.

Когда со страной происходят такие сложные процессы, как сейчас - в сознании народа резко возрастает степень критицизма и так же резко падает уровень взвешенности. Посмотрите на телеграмм-каналы, позиция авторов которых базируется на бескомпромиссном критиканстве - их просто раздуло на таком подходе. Счётчик канала Стрелкова, например, всегда был для меня маркером степени недовольства в обществе: разделить его настроение приходит как раз та категория, которая не хочет видеть последствий бунта на корабле, и своё внутреннее состояние готова тушить любыми радикальными действиями, лишь бы выплеснуть негатив.
На фоне резких изменений настроений в обществе, которые власть или замечает, или не замечает, в кругах, считающих себя патриотическими, заговорили о Смуте. Называются даже фамилии новых Минина и Пожарского, а некоторые в этом контексте даже упоминают и меня.... Лестно, конечно, и если останусь жив и будет потребность - и в таком качестве послужу, - опыт собирать ополчение у меня имеется. Но Смута - это когда поляки в Кремле. Но Минин и Пожарский не раскачивали ситуацию, доводя её до Смуты. Они пришли, когда другие развалили, а кто и предал. Они пришли нелицемерно собирать разбитое не ими, а когда в Пожарские прочат тех, кто сам не прочь устроить смуту - это выглядит вывихнуто. Никаких Смут и никаких поляков в Кремле! Лучше я буду презренным охранителем, чем благословенным спасителем осколков империи - сейчас не то архаичное время меча и орала, чтобы можно было возродиться. Сейчас время мозгов и микрочипов, без которых ракеты не летают...
И ещё - ищите, кому выгодно. Например, у одного есть и деньги, и собственные интересы, и административный ресурс, - а у другого есть своеобразная популярность. А вместе у них есть общий объект ненависти, - почему бы не обьединиться? Один думает: я его использую, как торпеду, а потом произведу в герои посмертно. Второй думает: так, сейчас нужно осильнеть, набрать вес, собрать и вооружить сторонников - потом этот будет мне не страшен, и мы поговорим по другому, - а пока "улыбаемся и машем"... А над ними, мудро улыбаясь, кто-то смотрит на них обоих и совершенно не из патриотических, а из вполне прагматичных соображений не мешает этим двоим решать его персональную задачу - убрать с шахматной доски давно надоевшую фигуру, - и вот так наступает Смута. В наш ядерный во всех смыслах век будьте осторожнее и не ищите лёгких решений - их просто нет.

«How can someone trust Russian media if all independent media in Russia are banned?» — It is not a simple question. First of all, not all independent media in Russia are banned. Not all of them violate Russian laws that restrict attempts to discredit the special operation in Ukraine, the Russian government and the Russian Armed Forces. However, should one trust mainstream Western media over Russian media? It is a big question.
The problem with mainstream Western media is that they strongly stand on Ukrainian side and promote solely Ukrainian version of events. They cheer and exaggerate even the smallest Ukrainian successes and ignore even the most obvious facts that confirm Russian point of view. The industry of fakes is another noticeable difference. Ukrainian president has a background in TV show industry and he probably brought a good part of his former team to work on filming shows and videos that would bring him the greatest support of the West. All these fakes are well known and debunked by the Russian side with factual proof. However, the Western media did not debunk those fakes and their audience still believes it was real. It is impossible to trust sources that completely distort facts. Russian media outlets don’t present critical opinions about the special operation in Ukraine, but at least they don’t distort reality. 🔺Let’s give an example: 🔹Western media says: Russia is losing war, hundreds of thousands Russian soldiers are dead, Russian tanks are all broken and abandoned, Putin’s regime is crumbling, Russia is bringing untrained conscripts with WW1 rifles to the fronts as cannon fodder;
🔸Russian media says: Russian army has completed tactical retreat from Kharkov region and fell back to prepared defense positions in Kherson region, at the same time it is slowly advancing in Artemovsk, the number of permanent casualties is 5.937, Ukraine depends on Western supplies of arms, Zelensky’s regime stubbornly refuses negotiations
Note that the West is operating vague and overly exaggerated statements, while Russia is providing specific numbers and facts that are logically reasonable and can be verified.
🔹Western media says: Putin threatens the world with nuclear weapons
🔸Russian media says: Putin welcomed new territories into Russia and confirmed willingness to defend them at all costs.
Since transcripts of Putin’s speech are available, it’s easy to look what he said and who is lying.
Russia does not try to create a fake picture of victories, it prefers real thing to virtual victories. Of course, not everything is so simply and not all Western media are completely biased. However, even media of neutral countries don’t see the Ukrainian conflict properly because they view not as an invasion and not as liberation but as a proxy war between Russia and the West.
As for banning “independent media”, there is one factor to consider. Moral condemnation is good and all, but if your country is fighting, you have to support it, not condemn it. Anything else is just treason.
It could be disguised under moral values but it’s still treason. Right or wrong, doesn’t matter. Time for judgment and evaluation will come later, time to punish may come later. Calling for peace is great, calling for surrender and defeat of your country is betrayal. Of course, some may not see the difference.
