This atmosphere of impunity that we have seen in Ukraine now is not very good. We answered. This is important, at least from a psychological point of view, because many in the West, in Ukraine, have decided that Russia has already surrendered. Does it have a significant military effect? I have to say no, unfortunately.

If the car was completely filled with explosives, this is 20 tons, this is, in terms of explosive effect, like forty Iskanders. I carefully watched the speech of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. It seems to me that it was another warning... It was a warning that if you organize terrorist attacks on our side, consider that you are guaranteed to receive an answer many times more significant in Ukraine.
This war will have to be won on the battlefield, on the front line. You have to be ready for this.

In your opinion, how could this happen on the Crimean bridge, could it have been prevented? It is clear that Crimea will most likely not leave Ukraine alone, the attacks will continue. How to prevent this?

“We have to get used to the fact that this war will not only be on the news and on TV. She will come to every home. You have to be mentally prepared for this. The Russian Federation has a huge number of infrastructure facilities that can be attacked. It is impossible to protect them all. Why was the blow struck (RF Armed Forces - Ed.)? Because the threats to the Russian Federation are extremely high.
This is even (in that case. - Ed.) if the Americans still, after today's incidents, do not give Ukraine missiles that are capable of hitting 300 kilometers. This trick with explosives, they can scroll anywhere. Behind the Urals, on our Siberian bridges, at nuclear power plants, at hydroelectric power plants, with water poisoning ... anywhere.
We must understand that Ukraine will not have moral or any other restrictions. Ways to wage war, ways to give us trouble - a huge number. Russia is a huge country, we have thousands of kilometers of various gas pipelines, transmission lines, substations, gas hubs. Diversion can happen anywhere.

Could this sabotage on the Crimean bridge have been prevented?

- We have the Crimean Bridge - it's like a Voronya Slobidka, remember in the "Golden Calf"? They said for so long that they would blow it up that, in general, there was no big surprise when they did blow it up. It was just a matter of how they would do it. - Our new commander has a nickname among the military - "Armageddon". He loved such "shows" in Syria, the rather active conduct of military campaigns with shelling, using missiles. This is what we are seeing now.
Here, apparently, two things coincided: the Crimean bridge, and the very long patience of the Russian Federation, and the appointment of a new commander. Everything worked out and this action happened.
- Do you think this appointment of a new commander in the NVO zone will somehow change the course of the special operation?

“I think it’s kind of a half-measure. I know he doesn't have a very good relationship with the secretary of defense, that's what everyone says. How they will be able to work in this situation, I do not know. But Vladimir Vladimirovich made personnel decisions.
From my point of view, I have always considered the creation of the Headquarters of the Commander-in-Chief as an obligatory first condition. It should be all together. Such global operations are impossible without the connection of civil services, political and military. Moreover, the military departments are all in one, because each has its own leadership.
It seems to me that yes, it is good that there is a commander of a military unit. We have many non-military issues. And the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander, it seems to me, would be needed.

Let's talk about Belarus. The situation there is also heating up, including with the help of Ukraine. Ukraine blew up bridges on the border with Belarus and mined roads. Russia and Belarus have begun the deployment of a joint grouping, and the formation of troops is already underway. How do you rate this decision? Is Belarus included in Russia's special operation in Ukraine?

- Our troops were there, in Belarus. Just changed the picture, changed the name. Our soldiers were there, and this is not a secret. There were exercises. As far as I understand, our units have not come out of there so far.
Yes, this is the next step on the part of Belarus to meet us, but we would like more.
— What would you like?
- I would like the participation of Belarus in this special operation. This is obviously what you would like. Batka (Lukashenko. - Ed.) is a very good organizer. Look how he is: yes, of course, the Russian Federation helped a lot, and helped all the time - he saved agriculture, there are no destroyed factories. All factories that worked in Soviet times are working. New ones have been added. I am sure that he will have the same situation in the army. There will be no problems with mobilization.

The inclusion of even a small army of Belarus in a special operation would add not only in terms of quantity, but also in terms of organization.

You see such a nuance. We have Deputy Minister of Defense Goremykin said that, by the way, he was in charge, worked in the personnel of the Ministry of Defense for more than twenty years, was the head of the personnel department for more than ten. He appointed almost everyone who now leads and serves, he appointed, there is his signature. He stated that - this caused an uproar on the Internet - that canceling the New Year holidays, fireworks is not worth it, because the army has everything it needs.

But we know that not everything is necessary. I was just at the front and talked with the fighters, I saw it with my own eyes. Not only I saw it, the mobilized saw it - how they are dressed, what is not. There are no mats at all, no sleeping bags at all. It is clear that this was not provided for by military service, soldiers should sleep in the barracks. There are not many things.

And when a deputy minister with such experience, even if not in combat, declares that "everything is there" - this, of course, causes indignation among people. But this is if you do not understand. And if you look at it, the army is now bombarded with money, they were simply given as much as they asked for, and then they poured more on top.

They cannot get organized. Serdyukov started the reforms... In the last eight years alone, we have about a thousand criminal cases related to corruption of warehouse army officials. Think about these numbers! Serdyukov began reforms, began to fight against theft in army warehouses.
We have our own military warehouses in each military unit, they are at least three levels. There are divisions, there is an army, that is, there is a front, there are army warehouses, divisional warehouses - and material support goods, weapons, ammunition move from top to bottom, are distributed among warehouses.

Previously, in the Soviet army, each leader on the spot determined who to give what. Imagine the situation. Here is the real situation at the front. The unit commander comes out of the battle and says: “Two armored personnel carriers were knocked out. You are standing, give it to me now urgently, because a breakthrough is coming at us now, we need to hold our positions.” And they say to him: "It is impossible." - "Why"? “This armored personnel carrier is not yours. In two months, the mobilized will come to us, these are their armored personnel carriers. When they arrive in two months, they will receive them, but you cannot give them now. And why not - but because you give us an application now, we will send it to the General Staff, they will send you an armored personnel carrier, and then you will take it, and let them stand.

That is, what did Serdyukov do? Since he understood that corruption was local, he decided to conduct distribution exclusively through Moscow. In Moscow, they decide on the basis of the smallest delivery of goods, to whom to give, to whom not to give, what to give, where to send. And he was going to computerize all this, but he was removed. They destroyed the Soviet system, which worked, albeit corrupt, but did not introduce a new system.
Now there are uncles who do not know what a computer is. Because they don't know what a computer is, they say, “Everything is exclusively in telegrams and papers. Send us papers."
Can you imagine how to put it all together? Look, what kind of grouping is fighting in our country and all this in papers, telegrams? They say: “Listen, do you want us to install computers and put all this into a computer? And the Americans will download this information from our computer through space and will know how many padded jackets I transferred from point A to point B, secret information? Don't even offer!

The same problem arose in the Ukrainian army. It is much larger, as I said, in terms of numbers. And such problems before them began much earlier. Do you know what they did? They took the computer system of Nova Poshta, a regular CRM system, and used it. And those problems disappeared immediately.
