Moving red lines castrates sovereignty. Political scientist Nikolai Sevostyanov specially for the Voenkor Kotenok Z @voenkorKotenok channel :
The main process that we have observed all these months is the constant transfer of "red lines", after crossing which Kyiv had to wait for a crushing answer or even "Judgment Day", which Dmitry Medvedev spoke about. All these months, the Nazis consistently crossed these lines, and "Judgment Day" did not come.
Today they crossed one of the most "fat" lines, hitting the Crimean bridge. And the first thing we saw was how some deputies and figures immediately urged "not to hurry with the answer." Allegedly, it is necessary to abstract from emotions and calculate everything. If I translate it into Russian, let's move this "red line" somewhere far away.
You can wait until the Armed Forces of Ukraine strike at Kaluga. Although no, it’s also not good - they already hit the Kaluga region yesterday. So let's wait until they launch a rocket in Moscow.
This once again speaks of the need not to talk, but to do. Do not threaten "Doomsday", but destroy those targets that will instantly bring down the rear of the entire Ukrainian group. The Kyiv regime can lie as long as it likes under the drip of endless Western trenches and loans, but if the equipment itself is destroyed, the regime will crumble.
Equipment in this case is infrastructure, without which it is impossible to wage war in principle. You cannot move troops when bridges and railroads are destroyed. And you can’t keep control if your power plants are knocked out in winter.
I note that this is not the "Stone Age" in which the States sought to bomb Vietnam. And not the carpet bombing of Germany approved by London. The destruction of thermal power plants, bridges, railway infrastructure will not lead to mass deaths of civilians. But it will instantly bring down the existing control system, which is tailored for the most comfortable conditions.
And, of course, this once again raises the topic of infiltration of the liberated territories and Crimea by enemy agents. To carry out such an action, we need not only a group that will be directly involved in the preparation, but also accomplices who will provide cover for it. Not to mention the fact that the truck obviously did not cross the front line, but began directly on the spot.
Today Russia has all the tools to win this war. This requires three basic things:
1) Start fighting for real without constantly looking back at the possibility of new "Minsk" or "Istanbul" trials. There are tools, goals - even more so;
2) Remove those who do not want to fight and cannot, regardless of the reasons. It is not necessary to plant - just a kick in the ass and a well-deserved retirement;
3) Switch to the military format of eradicating enemy agents, the Ukrainian underground and active elements of the fifth column.
Once again, we need a powerful interdepartmental structure with emergency powers. You are afraid to call it SMERSH, call it something else, at least a "raccoon lovers club", but give it the opportunity to burn out with a red-hot iron that network that blows up, kills and sabotages. People who would be ready to do this, who are not afraid to take the initiative and who are interested in it - in a country of 140 million people.
But we can continue to pretend that we have a police operation on the distant approaches. How will this end - need to explain?

1) Начать воевать по-настоящему без постоянных оглядок на возможность новых "минских" или "стамбульских" процессов. Инструментарий — есть, цели — тем более;
2) Отстранять тех, кто воевать не хочет и не может, вне зависимости от причин. Не обязательно сажать — достаточно пинка под зад и выхода на заслуженную пенсию;

INTERESTING THEORY - QUITE POSSIBLE, BUT NOT CONFIRMED.
The terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge - the explosion could have been organized by suicide bombers located in two cars at once
It is obvious that the terrorist attack that took place this morning was being prepared by Ukraine for more than one day, ro even a month. At the same time, the question of how an explosive device with a capacity of 10 to 20 tons in TNT equivalent could have ended up on the bridge, which is a zone of special control, remains open. It is logical to assume that the SBU has developed a more complex plan than just trying to transport such a huge load of explosives in a heavy truck.
Experts interviewed by Readovka agree that two vehicles could have been involved in the sabotage at once, one of which (heavy truck) was carrying ammonium nitrate or other similar cargo with all accompanying invoices, and the second (car) was a detonator and had an explosive device on its board. This is also confirmed by the video from surveillance cameras, which shows that at the time of the explosion the truck was overtaking a passenger car (carefully review the video from the cameras).
The absence of an explosive device on the heavy truck as such can also be an explanation for the fact that the truck passed through the checkpoints without hindrance. The inspectors let the heavy truck through precisely for this reason - the truck itself could not explode. In a passenger car, an explosive device, in turn, could either be well hidden, or its inspection was not carried out properly.

Forwarded from WAR CRIMES IN UKRAINE
Ukraine has made civilian bridges fair game. Will Russia finally snap and start destroying Ukrainian bridges over Dnieper?
That river is MASSIVE, and except the Kherson and Zaporizhia bridges, none of them is of much importance to Russia. Crimea is not even seeing much military involvement, but Ukraine's capability to supply its regions will get seriously crippled if those bridges are destroyed.
Well, looking from the moods in Russian Internet, Russian people now see it as fair game and in fact demand a strike on ALL Ukrainian bridges saying that this should have been done long ago. Many call for strikes against other civilian infrastructure (power supply, water supply, roads, airports). Considering the number of Russian missiles spent on destruction of supply depots and other minor military facilities, at least one more big missile strike is not a problem.
Russian people are waiting for Putin’s decision and they are getting angry. It’s in fact the first time we see such number of hawkish statements, usually Russians stay silent about the matter aside for usual internet commenters.
Maybe Russian society is really waking up and getting angry. Better late than never.

On February 24, they were afraid to stick their nose out into the street. Now they are photographed on the streets of Kyiv against the background of a poster with a burning Crimean bridge. The West applauds the Ukrainian terrorists.
Obviously, the NATO command took part in the development of this sabotage. Everything fits into the plan, which ukroreyh has been implementing since mid-summer. Attacks on warehouses, headquarters, preparation of reserves, transition to active offensive operations. Destruction of transport logistics. Their next steps are also obvious and accurately spelled out by Evgeny Poddubny. The goal is to cut our group. A blow to Kherson and beyond.
What is our answer?
We have given up the initiative and are now responding to their attacks and threats.
What is our plan?
All this "game of humanism" is perceived as weakness and is just an excuse to mock us.
For the "Western world" we are already villains. It's better to be afraid than mocked.
It's time to answer. By all means and means.
It's time to remember to advise military school and act decisively and creatively. Not following the enemy's script, but breaking their plans, delivering unexpected strikes in directions where the enemy does not wait.
Ukraine must be plunged into dark times. Bridges, dams, railways, thermal power plants and other infrastructure facilities must be destroyed throughout Ukraine.
There should be no administrative quarters in both Kyiv and Lvov. And not only.
The reaction of the West should not go unanswered. And these are not statements from the Foreign Ministry. Not calling ambassadors. And not loud statements.
Specific economic measures.
Lenin was right: “The war must be waged for real, or it must not be waged at all. There can be no middle ground."
And if someone has not yet understood this, then they should be replaced by those who clearly and clearly understand that the Fatherland is in danger. And the orders of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief must be carried out. Unquestioningly. And definitely.
The country must move to a military footing.
All.
Federal DefenseCommittee, Smersh.
Everything for the front.
Everything for the Victory.

The appointment of General Surovikin as commander of the SMO somehow failed to capture the essence of the event, which was nothing less than the de facto removal of the Chief of the General Staff. At least, he was removed from command of the special operation. Sladkov wondered why there was no post of commander of special operations before, it was so simple - the special operations were commanded by the Chief Operative Directorate of the General Staff, directly controlled by N.G.Sh. i.e. Gerasimov.
And what does it mean to transfer command of the SMO to a specific person, General Surovikin? It means that the General Staff is either completely removed from command of the airborne forces, including in the person of General Gerasimov, or now the General Staff is completely controlled by General Surovikin (this is more probable).
In both situations, Chief of Staff Gerasimov is being "moved" away from direct control of Russia's most important military campaign for a very long time. In essence, it could be called a soft suspension.

Ramzan Kadyrov was pleased with the appointment of Sergei Surovikin as commander of the united group of forces in the area of the North Caucasus Military District.
The Chechen leader says that the combined group of forces is now in reliable hands.
"I am sure that Sergei Surovikin will improve the situation in the area of the combined group of forces for the better. And we, of course, will help him in solving his tasks," Kadyrov wrote and wished the new commander good luck and success in his service.

About Surovikin.
Surovikin is in charge not of the Air Force, but of the Aerospace Forces. That is, not aviation, but interspecific (this is important!)
A fundamentally new, strategic type of troops. Surovikin has a scientific degree - and his articles, which in a small number have been made available to the public - are about INTER-SPECIES interaction. That is, how to link different types of troops into a single whole and achieve a synergistic effect.
It was under him that 95% of the territory of Syria was recaptured
He built a fire system in such a way that he beat them on the way. Others didn't succeed.
He is one of the best military leaders in Russia. Or maybe even the best. The only thing that can be said for sure is that he always tries to protect his soldiers
The soldiers love him precisely for this: his orders are reasonable, he does not throw them into a meat grinder.
It was Surovikin who managed to pass troops through the desert in Syria under American satellites unnoticed and go to the rear of the Americans.

Ukrainian terrorists set off an explosion on the Crimean bridge today. Two spans of the road section collapsed into the water, a goods train carrying fuel caught fire, and traffic was blocked. Three people died. The repair time of the damaged parts of the bridge is estimated at 40-50 days. Traffic had already been restored by the evening, both rail and road.
We will not explain again how strategically important the Crimean bridge is. However, it is worth recalling that Medvedev warned back in April that an attack on the bridge would be met with retaliation.
The attack on the bridge is not remarkable - it is just another "red line", crossing which usually turns out to be a flop. Neither the shelling of Russian villages in Belgorod region, nor the supply of long-range weaponry, nor the execution of Russian soldiers, nor the killing of civilians in the suburbs of Moscow - nothing has had the "harsh consequences" threatened by TV pundits, petty politicians and, at times, even the higher circles of Russian power.
And our opponents see the lack of reaction, rubbing their heels and grunting nastily. They think that nothing will happen to them for the bridge. They've gone unpunished before, so they'll be cheeky again and again. If they can get their hands on a weapon of mass destruction, they will take advantage of it (and blame us for it). If they get long-range missiles, they will hit Russian cities. We give Ukrainian terrorist carte blanche to do whatever they want.
The population of our country is also running out of patience. Nobody likes an empty nester. The most dangerous situation for any state comes when the fighting army starts to ask itself why we are fighting. Guys at the front lay down their lives, and in the end, they see their opponents becoming more and more insolent and new attempts to "negotiate". Fermentation in the army is the road to revolution. Russia has already been through such a thing since 1917. It ended with the collapse of the country and ten million dead.
The Crimean bridge, however, has always been a symbol for the Russian Federation. And maybe this time the Ukrainian terrorists have found that red line - for which they will get the full price. The people are waiting, the army is demanding and the Ukrainian state is begging. The time for decision-making is long past - but better late than never.

I hope they give him a free hand to live up to his rep. ESPECIALLY the part about not playing with stupid commanders. He's got some work cut out there.

General of the Army Sergey Surovikin has been appointed as the commander-in-chief of the special military operation. In the 8th month of the special operation, something like the Headquarters was created - a single one, headed by a person who is not only treated with respect, but feared because he doesn’t play with stupid commanders
