Структура боевого подразделения - это пирамида. Обычно она правильной формы и венчается острым пиком, на кончике которого одиноко восседает командир, ответственный за всё. Я же ставил перед собой задачу доказать, что правильная армейская пирамида - перевёрнутая, - где основание пирамиды состоит из служб и прочих обеспеченцев, и упирается оно в вершину - солдата, которому выполнять задачу и давать результат. Именно от его результативности зависит всё, и от того, насколько увесистое основание отбалансировано и направлено чётко в одну точку, зависит, выдержит ли солдат на своих плечах надстройку, или нет.

Это не совсем популизм - это живая практика, и она показывает, что там, где командир без всяких соплей ориентирует свою машину на тех, кто выполняет боевую задачу - там она выполняется. А там, где превалирует принцип "бабы ещё нарожают" - там результат гораздо хуже. И вот тут, раз уж я предложил разделять в сознании армию и военное ведомство, и проходит черта: пока офицер или генерал мыслями с солдатом - он служит в армии, то есть - с народом. А как только он отрывается от земли - он тут же из армии переносится в ведомство с его совершенно особенной жизнью. И оттуда, из ведомства, он пытается командовать вверенной ему армией, но это плохо получается.

У меня состоялся недавно разговор в блиндаже с одним будущим генералом. Он был вызван из академии и уже в ходе боёв был назначен командовать бригадой - отличный мужик, я вам скажу. Но он попал между армией и ведомством, как между молотом и наковальней, и другого собеседника, чтобы поделиться своими мыслями, под рукой не оказалось. Ведомство от него требовало каждодневный результат, а силы таяли на глазах, и он понимал, что ещё чуть-чуть - и будет некем давать этот результат, а как донести начальству эту простую мысль - он не знал. Умного я ничего не выдал, только чётче оконтурил его положение, сказав, что сейчас он тот, кто спасает армию от начальства, и ему, если он хочет сохранить боеспособность своего подразделения, придётся принять удар на себя. Он оказался в трудном положении, но его выручил....телохранитель - на то же ведь и телохранитель? - Во время обстрела он прыгнул на комбрига, прикрывая его собой, и сломал ему голеностоп, отправив мужика в госпиталь...
