Russian Ministry of Defence: "A sabotage group of the Ukrainian armed forces is being destroyed near the #Zaporozhye NPP. Helicopters are involved. Two barges carrying a tactical landing force of the Ukrainian armed forces, which was intending to land near the Zaporozhye NPP, were sunk."
It seems that here too the losses of the AFU will be counted not in dozens but in hundreds of dead soldiers.
They left #Nikopol and were sunk on the traverse of #Vodyanoye.

So, after the report of the Defense Ministry about the sinking of two barges with landing troops in Kakhovskoye water reservoir, everything became clear with the plan of the military forces to seize the territory of #Zaporozhye NPP.
So, the plan was as follows. By the time the IAEA mission arrived at #Energodar, the AFU SSO (Special Operations Forces), in cooperation with other units and under cover of artillery from the northern coast, was to take under control the territory of the plant, which the same mission was to record.
Let me start with the background. A few days ago when the IAEA announced its plans not only to visit the station but also to keep permanent observers there it left me baffled. It looked like a clear play along with Russia, as a permanent mission in the area would eliminate the shelling problem (but, as it turned out today, it was a billet not for Russia, but for Kiev).
But let's move on to today's events. That night, the SSO of the AFU, landed in the area of the dachas northeast of the ZNPP and covertly by 5 am occupied the initial attack lines (the RF Ministry of Defense claims that it happened later, but it is not so crucial). Their task was to break into the territory of the plant and ensure reception of the main group of landing troops.
At 5.20 a.m., artillery of the AFU opened fire on the RF Armed Forces posts on the station territory, and around 6 a.m. the attack of the first wave of paratroopers began.
