ХРИСТОС ВОСКРЕСЕ! Всех верующих православных поздравляю с одним из главных событий Священной истории - праздником ВОЗНЕСЕНИЯ ГОСПОДНЯ 🕊, которое празднуется сегодня, на 40-й день после Пасхи.
После Своего Вознесения Христос не оставил мира, но пребывает в нем во Св. Духе, Которого Он послал от Отца. Через действие Св. Духа Его невидимое присутствие сохраняется в таинствах Церкви (евхаристический аспект Вознесения Господня просматривается уже в беседе о «хлебе небесном» (Ин.6:22-71)).
Об искупительном значении Вознесения говорится в Послании к Евреям (Евр.1:3,9:12). Искупление завершилось после того, как Распятый и Воскресший Христос, вознесшись, вошел со Своей Кровию в небесное святилище (Евр.9:12,24-26).
Главным следствием Вознесения Господня стало то, что с этого момента человеческая природа получила полное участие в Божественной жизни и вечном блаженстве. Видение первомучеником Стефаном Иисуса, стоящего одесную Бога, как Сына Человеческого (Деян.7:55-56), говорит о том, что человеческая природа Христа не растворилась и не была поглощена Божественной. Приняв на Себя человеческую плоть, Господь Иисус не избежал смерти, а победил ее и сделал человеческую природу равночестной и сопрестольной Божеству. Он пребывает Богочеловеком вовеки и во второй раз придет на землю «таким же образом», каким взошел на небо (ср.: Деян.1:11), но уже «с силою и славою великою» (Мф.24:30; Лк.21:27).
Вознесение Господне имеет особое значение и как образ обожения каждого верующего во Христа. Как отмечал свт. Григорий Палама, Вознесение Господне принадлежит всем людям – все воскреснут в день Его Второго пришествия, однако вознесены («восхищены на облаках»; ср.: 1Фес.4:16-17) будут только те, кто «распяли грех через покаяние и жительство по Евангелию» (Greg. Pal. Hom. 22 // PG. 151. Col. 296).

CHRIST IS RISEN! I'd like to congratulate all Orthodox believers on one of the most important events in Holy History - the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, which is celebrated today, on the 40th day after Easter.
After His Ascension, Christ did not leave the world, but abides in it in the Holy Spirit, whom He sent from the Father. Through the action of the Holy Spirit, His invisible presence is preserved in the sacraments of the Church (the Eucharistic aspect of the Lord's Ascension is already evident in the discourse on the "bread of heaven" ( John 6:22-71 )).
The Epistle to the Hebrews speaks of the redemptive significance of the Ascension ( Heb. 1:3, 9:12 ). The redemption was completed after the Crucified and Risen Christ, having ascended, entered with His Blood into the heavenly sanctuary ( Heb. 9:12, 24-26 ).
The main consequence of the Ascension of the Lord was that from that moment on, human nature received full participation in the Divine life and eternal bliss. The vision of Jesus standing at the right hand of God as the Son of Man by the first martyr Stephen ( Acts 7:55-56 ) indicates that Christ's human nature was not dissolved or absorbed by the Divine. By assuming human flesh, the Lord Jesus did not escape death but conquered it and made human nature equal in honor and co-enthroned with the Divinity. He remains the God-Man forever and will come to earth a second time "in the same way" as He ascended into heaven (cf. Acts 1:11 ), but this time "with power and great glory" ( Matt. 24:30 ; Luke 21:27 ).
The Ascension of the Lord has special significance as an image of the deification of every believer in Christ. As St. Gregory Palamas noted, the Ascension of the Lord belongs to all people—all will be resurrected on the day of His Second Coming. However, only those who have “crucified sin through repentance and living according to the Gospel” will be lifted up (“caught up in the clouds”; cf. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 ) (Greg. Pal. Hom. 22 // PG. 151. Col. 296).
Prayer
Lord Jesus Christ, our God, who came down from the heavenly heights for our salvation and nourished us with spiritual joy on the holy and radiant days of Thy Resurrection, and again, after completing Thy earthly service, ascended from us to heaven with glory and sat at the right hand of God and the Father! On this "clear and all-radiant day of Thy Divine Ascension into the heavens," "the earth celebrates and rejoices, and the heavens also rejoice at the Ascension today of the Creator of creation," and men unceasingly glorify, beholding their lost and fallen nature upon Thy shoulder, O Savior, both earthly and heavenly, exalted. The Angels rejoice, saying: Who is this, who came in glory, mighty in battle? Is He truly the King of Glory? Grant us the weak, who are still earthly-minded and constantly indulge in carnal pleasures, to contemplate and celebrate Thy fearful ascent to heaven, to lay aside carnal and worldly cares and, with Thy Apostles, to look up to heaven now with all our hearts and all our thoughts, remembering that our dwelling place is there in heaven above, but here on earth we are only strangers and pilgrims who have departed. from the Father's house to a land far from sin. For this reason, we earnestly ask You, O Lord, by Your glorious Ascension, to revive our conscience, which is more necessary than anything in the world, to raise us from the captivity of this sinful flesh and the world, and make us wise in the things of the heavens, and not in the things of the earth, so that we may no longer please ourselves and live, but may we serve You, our Lord and God, and be enslaved, until we have renounced the bonds of the flesh and Having passed unhindered through the aerial tollhouses, let us reach Your heavenly mansions, where, standing at the right hand of Your Majesty, with the Archangels and Angels and all the saints, we will glorify Your All-Holy Name with Your Eternal Father and Your Most Holy and Consubstantial and Life-giving Spirit, now and ever and to the ages of ages.
