My friend and Comrade, my Brother, Igor Marchenko, "Garcon" will be buried in Stakhanov tomorrow. That's him in the lower right in both photos. We served together in 2015, and remained tight friends through the years.
He was an expert soldier, capable of operating and maintaining any weapon we had. He was also willing to take on the most dangerous missions. The first time I was ever behind enemy lines was with him. He was killed on a recon mission near Soledar on August 15th. His 4 man team was ambushed, there were no survivors. It took some days for the bodies to be recovered.
He was a very kind and gentle man, played classical guitar, tried to teach me Russian. Leaves behind a wife and 3 year old daughter, a sister and disabled father.
A true Warrior Poet. He was 33.

According to incoming reports, several planes of the 831st tactical aviation brigade of the Ukrainian Air Force were destroyed at the airfield in Mirgorod today. It is armed with the remaining Su-27 fighters and several L-39 Albatross light attack aircraft. Several unnamed vehicles were destroyed or damaged - most likely it is the Su-27. There was also a significant number of dead and wounded. In addition, the airfield infrastructure and various wheeled vehicles were damaged.
Recently, at the Kanatovo airfield, 2 Su-27s of the same brigade were already caught at the airfield, which were supposed to be used in the operation to organize the flight of a Russian pilot to Ukraine, which was uncovered by the FSB. As you can see, the 831st brigade was taken on board and the hunt for aircraft running around the airfields continued.

These results are interesting because they can be compared with the voting on March 2, when 141 countries voted for the same resolution of the General Assembly. The drop in the level of support for the anti-Russian position by almost three times in six months, probably, speaks best of how the conflict is perceived by the bulk of the world community, and not by the NATO countries that have self-appointed to this role and their clientele.
