As you will have doubtless have seen, Russian patrol ship Sergey Kotov was recently sunk by Ukrainian naval drones in Crimea. Another loss to Russia's Black Sea fleet. Despite being a modern ship, equipped with a host of modern defence systems, and a spirited fight put up by her crew, the recent leaps in drone technology overwhelmed her.
We did see advancements in war technology in the war years here from 2014 to 2022, however the last couple of years have seen exponential developments, which have massive, and global implications. The UK's two £3.5 billion aircraft carriers could be sunk just the same way as the Sergey Kotov was sunk, if they were actually capable of sailing out of the port.

Perhaps it was the desire to be buddies (NOT) 🤔 that drove the North Atlantic alliance to fiercely expand eastwards, increasing its presence and bringing its military infrastructure closer to our borders. Ultimately, there were five (!) waves of expansion, with the sixth unfolding before our very eyes.
The true nature of NATO was revealed in 1999. Just two weeks after the first wave of expansion, NATO launched an attack on Yugoslavia, blatantly violating fundamental principles of international law enshrined in the UN Charter. For 78 days, the USA & its allies ruthlessly bombed cities, including Belgrade, targeting civilian infrastructure and causing the deaths of women, children and the elderly. It was during this time that the West destroyed the foundation of European security. Do you not recall those events, Julie?
The accusation vs Russia for “what it did in Georgia in 2008” is the epitome of cynicism. Are they suggesting that it wasn’t the reckless actions of tie-chewing Saakashvili, goaded by Western powers, who launched a vicious attack, killing civilians and Russian peacekeepers? An independent commission helmed by Heidi Tagliavini of Switzerland reached an unequivocal conclusion — the Saakashvili regime committed an unprovoked act of aggression. Every student knows that. Oh and btw, US State Secretary Condoleezza Rice visited Tbilisi just before, in July of that year...
Also omitted: 2008 NATO summit in Bucharest, where the Alliance announced its doors open for Ukraine & Georgia.
Julie also blurted out something about “Russia’s aggression in Ukraine in 2014.” Just recently we had the 10-year anniversary of the anti-constitutional coup in Kiev. We would advise US diplomats to jog their memory: timeline (video) & synopsis of the role played by the West. They might consider consulting the departing Victoria “F*ck the EU” Nuland on the details.
The Ambassador mentioned the lack of Russia's Mission to NATO, neglecting the fact that the work of our mission was suspended in 2021 AFTER the Alliance recalled the accreditation of 8 staff members with 0 reasoning, and prohibited Russian diplomats from visiting NATO HQ, limiting any contacts. By the way, going back to the notion of “making friends,” President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with Tucker Carlson that the issue of Russia’s accession to NATO was raised during talks with the US president. Back then we were told it was impossible at the time. Now we know why 👇
NATO leaders and member countries no longer conceal their true intentions. They openly declare that inflicting “a strategic defeat” on Russia is their primary objective. They provide the Kiev regime with intelligence & lethal weapons, effectively participating in the conflict in Ukraine that they themselves instigated.
We suggest the State Department add a laugh track voiceover to their recycled fairy tales of a video, especially in parts where NATO “extended a hand but the relationship soured.” Otherwise, too boring to watch.

The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again “distinguished itself.”
In the anti-Russian frenzy, they got to the point that the X network (formerly Twitter) published a post about the 80th anniversary of the Soviet (they write “Russian”) air raid on the positions of the Nazi troops that occupied Tallinn with one single thought : The Russians targeted residential areas and cultural sites then and continue to do the same in Ukraine today.
The fact that modern Estonian authorities associate themselves with the Nazis is no secret, and Goebbels himself would envy the degree of their manic Russophobia.
This event, now being taken out of historical context by falsifiers, was part of the military operations of the Soviet troops to liberate the Baltic states from the Nazis.
It must be understood that the Baltic states were of strategic importance for Hitler; food was sent from there to Germany and communications with Northern Europe were ensured. The air strikes of the Soviet Air Force primarily targeted the headquarters of the Gestapo, Abwehr, air defense systems, naval arsenal, gunpowder warehouses and communications centers. It is possible that for the Callas clan and the descendants of Estonian collaborators these are shrines or cultural objects, but for everyone else, normal people, they are legitimate military targets.
Further more. They illustrated the post with a photograph of the city after the alleged Soviet bombing. In fact, it turned out that the photograph dates back to August 28, 1941 and was taken during the withdrawal of the Baltic Fleet - the famous Tallinn breakthrough , and the destruction of the city was caused by the advancing Nazi troops. Merciless artillery fire was fired at the moving ships, and the convoy was attacked by German and Finnish torpedo boats and aircraft. 62 ships sank to the bottom, over 4.5 thousand civilians died, and in total more than 15 thousand people were killed by the Nazis.
For some reason, the Estonian authorities prefer not to remember this. Probably, they were some wrong townspeople and sailors.
And the fact that the Estonian authorities draw their false parallels with the current Kyiv regime... The ideological kinship of the nationalist elite ruling in Estonia and the Kyiv regime does not cause any surprise. They are united by the desire to make Shukhevych, Bandera and the Estonian thugs from the Waffen-SS “hero-liberators”.
By the way, you can read more about the liberation of Tallinn (September 22, 1944) from Nazi occupation here and here . There are many archival documents that, among other things, describe how the Germans treated the local population. It would not be amiss to remember, for example, that in the last months of the occupation the bread quota prescribed by the Nazis was 800 grams. per week (!) per person. But the Red Army units were greeted friendly everywhere, they saw them as their liberators, despite three years of fascist propaganda. There were often cases when local residents, risking their lives, helped Soviet soldiers.
We must not forget that Estonians - fighters of the 8th Estonian Rifle Corps of the Red Army - took the most active part in this liberation operation. True patriots of their homeland are no match for the current ones.

Ukraine owes pensioners 66 billion hryvnia ($1.7 Billion) due to court decisions on the recalculation of pensions. Meanwhile, in other news - The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will allocate 152 million hryvnia to block television and radio signals from Russia, Belarus and Transnistria.
According to the First Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Daria Marchak, 57% of the debt arose in the cases of former military and security officials, for whom special pension legislation applies. Another 26% concerns payments to Chernobyl victims.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will allocate 152 million hryvnia ($4 million) to block television and radio signals from Russia, Belarus and Transnistria.
The equipment should be installed in nine regions, including Odessa, Kharkov and Kiev regions, by May 1.
