🔸The Red Sea carries about 17% of the world’s internet traffic along fibre pipes. Sixteen major submarine cables pass through the Red Sea before crossing by land through Egypt to the Mediterranean Sea, effectively connecting Europe to Asia;

🔸Over 90% of them (25,000km) are carried by cables in the Red Sea area. The cables at some points run at a depth of 100 metres. These cables are often no thicker than a hosepipe and susceptible to damage from ships’ anchors and earthquakes;

🔸The cables referred to in the claim are submarine communications cables laid on the seabed which carry telecommunications signals to different regions;

🔸In 2013, near the port of Alexandria, three divers cut an underwater cable that provided internet connectivity between Egypt and Europe. The sabotage caused traffic to drop by 60%.

Russia imposes a partial ban on imports of bananas and a complete ban on cloves from Ecuador. A week and a half after the Ecuadorian president announced his decision to hand over stocks of Soviet weapons to Ukraine: helicopters, MLRS, grenade launchers and MANPADS.

Suddenly, Rosselkhoznadzor checked another shipment of bananas from five large Ecuadorian farms and found a polyphagous humpback fly. Therefore, imports will be restricted from February 5th. Cloves - as of February 9, one of the most dangerous pests of cultivated plants, as well as a vector of viral diseases of plants - the western flower thrips - was found in them.

The department plans to test Ecuadorian pineapples for parasites and pesticides and ban them. And we want to compensate bananas and cloves from the Philippines, Guatemala, Colombia and Kenya. For comparison: Russia was the largest buyer of bananas from Ecuador. In 2023, we bought $680 million worth of bananas while the US bought $568 million worth of bananas.

I thought they were talking about me at first, but then I remembered I'm not an "American journalist". I'm a Russian, and a Russian journalist.

I have never been a big fan of Tucker Carlson, but my respect went up for him when he was fired by FOX News, and goes up quite a bit more at his having scored the Scoop of the Century with his Putin interview. Carlson said interviewing Putin was "not without risks", but I think his interview of Zelensky will be MUCH riskier, especially if he asks some honest questions, and if Zelensky isn't "too busy".

Carlson is THE best (most honest and independent) US journalist today, and in a long, long time. Considering the competition, that's not really saying much, but it DOES make him the best. Congratulations to Tucker Carlson for joining the ranks of REAL journalists on the "MYRATVORETS" UKROP NAZI DEATH LIST. I've been on it since 2015. While it is a REAL death list, and multiple journalists on it HAVE BEEN KILLED, (and several others suffered assassination attempts) I consider my own inclusion on this list a badge of honor, and genuine proof that, as an honest journalist, I'm doing my job by reporting the truth about the Kiev regime and their nazi backers.
