All team leaders should have received the Zoom link and login details to the information session on 12 Aug at 5PM (SST). The session will outline this year's problem statement, as well as address FAQs that you guys might have. Please note that at least 1 team member should be present for the session, as the session will not be recorded.

The session is expected to end at 6.30PM (SST), and you guys can begin building your pitches once the session ends.

Hey everyone, few things to note:

1. Virtual Workshop

We will not be circulating the deck that Temasek used for today's session.

2. Clarification on Deliverables

Please submit your reports in a PDF format, and remember to separate your cover page from your main report. Your cover page will NOT be part of the 10-page requirement for the main report. Teams that do not follow the submission requirements will not be considered.

FAQs

1. Do I need to submit a valuation model?

Submitting a valuation model is highly encouraged. You have the following options (non-exhaustive, as long as it supports your analyses/theses):

(a) Incorporate the model into the main report by including graphs that complement your financial analyses.

(b) Include relevant portions of the model in the appendix to support your valuation.

(c) Submit the Excel file of the model along with your main deliverables.

(d) All of the above.

If you choose to submit your model, please do not include your team name or the names of your team members in any of the Excel tabs (just the company name on the cover page tab will do). As long as the team leader submits the model, it will be graded together with the report.

2. Is there a naming convention for submitting our deliverables?

All team leaders are required to identify themselves (i.e., Full Name) and their team name in the submission email.

On the cover page of your report, please include your team name and the names of all team members.

If you plan to submit a valuation model, name the file after the company you are evaluating.

3. Is Company XXX considered part of the tech sector?

Please conduct due diligence on the company's core business activities and evaluate internally in your team whether it could be classified under the tech sector. Ensure that the company falls within a non-tech sector, as outlined in the briefing deck provided earlier this week.

Hey everyone! Hope you’re all making good progress on your stock pitch reports. Just a friendly reminder that the deadline for submission is 19 August at 11:59 PM (SST).

We highly encourage all teams to submit at least 1 hour earlier to ensure that your reports are properly accounted for by the planning committee. If your deliverables are too large in file size, feel free to send us a Google Drive link to your files.

Hey everyone! Here are some last-minute reminders before you submit your report:

1. Ensure that your cover page and main report are separate.

2. Do NOT identify yourselves in the main report (only on the cover page), even when naming your file(s). Naming your files after the company you are valuing is sufficient.

3. Ensure that both your cover page and main report are in PDF format. If you intend to submit a valuation model, please submit it in the same email and name the file after the company. Do not identify yourselves in the model either.

4. In your email, indicate your team name in the subject line. All team leaders submitting the reports are required to identify themselves (in the email) by indicating the name used in the application form.

5. Please ensure that your report does not exceed 10 pages.

Tip: Avoid squeezing in content — focus on the quality of your work without compromising on formatting.

6. If you are submitting a Google Drive link, please ensure that we have access.

7. Submit all deliverables to nusinvestspc@gmail.com by tonight, 11:59 PM (Singapore Time).

It is important that you follow these submission requirements. Resubmissions are acceptable; we will only consider your latest submission for grading.

Thank you for participating in the preliminary round - I hope you all had a rewarding experience putting together your reports.

The top 6 teams will be notified via email by 7 PM (SST) on 30 August 2024. Kindly note that all team members must be in Singapore to qualify for the final round on 6 September 2024.
