Mukhavaran Theatre Group presents 'Lahore Ton Ambarsar'.

Hindustani. 75 mins.

Synopsis:

Families torn apart. Lovers separated. Children lost. Women violated. Men slaughtered.
The Partition of India—which divided a nation into two—remains one of the most devastating man-made tragedies in history. Its death toll is still beyond measure, its scars still deeply felt.

The anguish of those who crossed the border, and of those who were left behind, is almost impossible to put into words. Yet today, as a generation absorbed in fleeting digital worlds, we risk losing touch with the lived realities of just two generations before us.

Lahore Ton Ambarsar is a powerful theatrical journey into that past—revisiting moments of loss, resilience, and humanity amidst chaos. Inspired in part by true events, the play brings to life stories that must not be forgotten.
