The ministry stressed that numerous violations of the law and disrespect for Russia and its citizens are the basis for taking measures against the platform, according to media reports. On July 10, Roskomnadzor sent another request to the director of the head office of the American company to unblock channels from Russia, but there was no response.
At the same time, over the past two years alone, the Russian court has recovered more than 25 billion rubles from Google, but this did not help change the company's policy towards Russia. Earlier, Deputy of the State Duma Alexander Khinshtein announced a decrease in the download speed of YouTube on desktop computers — by the end of this week it will decrease to 40%, and by the end of next week it will already reach 70%.
