3–2 win over Dallas without Cale, which obviously isn't ideal, but I thought we played a pretty solid defensive game. They had some guys out too, but we did a good job of keeping things under control. Mackenzie was great tonight. We've hung him out to dry a little bit. I know there haven't been a ton of shots, but the chances we give up are pretty good looks, you know especially last game. So we know we need to do a better job and tonight I thought we did that. Good win, solid win against them.

I picked up some points too, yes 2 assists and apparently I decided to get into another fight. I grew up in the Maritimes and played up my whole life, so I guess that's where it comes from. It's pretty normal for me. Most guys from that area are pretty feisty and I think it's good to do it sometimes. I mean I might be done for the year, but I guess you never know. Getting punched isn't that fun, but the guys seem to like it, so maybe I'll do it a couple more times? We'll see

Winning against Pittsburgh at home always feels a little different. It's a good 5–2 win, I had 2 assists on Lehky's goals, another on TJ's and got the last goal to finish things off. Thought the whole team played really well. Mackenzie was great, Lehky and Gabe were awesome and obviously, our rookie getting his first NHL goal was pretty special. Welcome to the NHL, TJ.

I don't know if I elevate my game against Pittsburgh, but I think everybody in the NHL gets excited to play against Sid. He's a good friend of mine and was my idol growing up. Everyone has so much respect for him and I could go on and on about how good of a person he is. I think everybody already knows that. He's obviously one of the best to ever play, and it's always special getting to play against him.

But yeah, I think we're all pretty excited whenever Pittsburgh comes to town. It's always a fun one

Stumbled through the last 2 games before finally finding our rhythm again. Good bounce-back win against Tampa Bay, 6–3. Finished the night with 4 points, 1 goal and 3 assists. Obviously, it's nice to contribute offensively, but getting the two points as a team is what matters.

We're not gonna be perfect all season. We dropped a couple on the road, but I thought we bounced back pretty well. Our PK was awesome, killing off 8 penalties and the guys did a great job.

Lehky's very underrated. He's always in a good spot. He creates so much space out there for me and Marty to make plays and have the puck on our sticks. It feels like every time he gets the puck, it's a chance. He's a great player and he plays great defense. You don't really find players like him and we're lucky to have him.

Good team effort. We beat one of the best teams in the league, so that's always good
