Messaging App Signal have their Facebook Ads account blocked after trying to run Instagram Ads which highlight to users the data that is being used to target them.
"Facebook is more than willing to sell visibility into people’s lives, unless it’s to tell people about how their data is being used. Being transparent about how ads use people’s data is apparently enough to get banned; in Facebook’s world, the only acceptable usage is to hide what you’re doing from your audience."

Social Profiles - Information Density
In my recent blog post "You are crap at social media ... and it shows" there is a section where I suggest looking to see how "information dense" a users social profiles are. So here is an example of how I have packed Twitter's relatively restrictive profile section with as much relevant information motion as possible.
My current social project, which these three profiles are involved with is "MyStadtKöln" so I have included the community hashtag.
I've also written up an article in English to try to encourage other community members who are engaging around the hashtag (so far daily on Instagram) to show their community support by also adopting the tag in their social profiles.
Does this example help illustrate profile information density?

Since I first wrote about YouTube Clips there have been a number of small updates.
With this latest update YouTube have added a Clips link to the main navigation which links to a page where you can see all the clips you have made.

What's needed now is the option for channel admins to opt-in (or out) of Clips, both at a channel level and at the individual level.

Why is Twitter so crap at local?
If you've ever clicked on the location a Tweet was made from, for example Germany/Cologne, you'll know that what you get is not realtime and not comprehensive.
I'm not going to spout on about how easy this would be to fix, it would likely be a ton of work.
But should Twitter decide to make improvements how do you think it should work?
I'd suggest that it should be implemented in a similar way to how Instagram does locations.

Most businesses these days seem to only have, or at least promote, Facebook social channels on their website. WHY?!
It's easy yes, but Facebook's history of first showing and then reducing the
visibility of content to your channel followers makes it clear that they are essentially paid channels only.
Surely one would wish to maximise non-paid exposure for ones business?
