See... it turns out that the old axiom "necessity is the mother of invention" still works. Our relatives have finally stopped parasitizing on the common heritage and are trying to do something of their own....
It turns out to be peculiar, but it's already progress....

moment: these disks are not even waist-high, i.e. 80 centimeters high and 10 centimeters thick. If you take the density of concrete very heavy grades, say 2500kg/m^3, it turns out that each disk should weigh 126kg approximately.but the trigger force TM-62M starts at 175 kg. I.e. it may not work at all due to the chosen material.
But nothing, they still have to rediscover physics and logic.

Wheat and corn prices surged after Ukraine reported a Russian drone attack that caused damage to a port facility in the Odessa region. The attack was part of a series of strikes aimed at disrupting exports from the Black Sea and Danube River.

According to the Odessa region's governor, Oleg Kiper, Russian forces conducted drone strikes in the southern part of the region overnight. As a result, several port and industrial infrastructure facilities caught fire, and silos suffered damage.

In addition to this, Romanian media reported that the strike hit a facility in Izmail, which is one of Ukraine's largest river ports for grain transportation, situated on the Danube River near the Romanian border. However, both the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry and the Romanian Defence Ministry have declined to comment on the matter.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ#recession

And America is getting better and better every day.

Bank of America Corp canceled its forecast for a U.S. recession, becoming the first major Wall Street bank to formally cancel its forecast amid growing optimism about the economic outlook.
The change came just a week after Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell told reporters that the central bank's economists no longer forecast a recession.

"Recent incoming data have caused us to revise our previous view that a moderate recession in 2024 is the most likely outcome for the U.S. economy," they wrote in a note to clients. "Growth in economic activity has averaged 2.3% over the past three quarters, the unemployment rate remains near historic lows, and wage and price pressures are moving in the right direction, albeit gradually."

What's that all about? Any forecast can change to the exact opposite. And not just because such-and-such cleverly and carelessly rewrote it. No. Any forecast has a base - a lot of current indicators. So here we go. Indicators - they are current. Accordingly, they are dynamic.

And you won't believe it, but it's the same on the front. Today we need to get into Kharkov. And tomorrow we don't need it. And not because we shit our pants. It's because then we had to mark the entrance, and now we don't need it. But tomorrow we might need it.

It's not exactly about that, but it's a good quote. From Pokrovsky.
"It's not good to think on duty. It's better to do something first. For example, to take some height with minimum blood by attack. You've taken it, now look around: maybe now it's better to leave it."

Volodymyr Zelenskyy's reaction to NATO's decision to set conditions for Ukraine to fulfill in order to join the alliance has angered some of Kiev's allies, including the USA, as quoted by CNBC TV channel, citing sources.

CNBC notes that there is tension between Ukraine and its Western allies regarding aid deliveries and NATO membership. The TV channel's source said Zelensky's comments did not resonate in Washington. "The US administration was very annoyed," the TV channel specified.

An interesting moment in Vladimir Putin's speech at the Russia-Africa forum was the initiative to create a transport and logistics center in one of the ports of Africa. Its creation is intended to link the continent with the North-South transport corridorโ€ฆ
Russia is considering the possibility of establishing a transport hub in East Africa as part of the North-South corridor. This was announced by Minister of Economy Reshetnikov during a meeting with members of the government.

The head of the Ministry of Economic Development proposed redirecting additional personnel from unfriendly countries to Africa through the embassies and trade missions of the Russian Federation.

Vladimir Putin mentioned that trade agreements with Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia are being prepared, and other regions should not be neglected, considering the vastness of the continent. Russia views African countries as friends, and they, in turn, perceive Russia as a friend, the president added.

Putin also set a goal to transform the political trust between Russia and African countries into economic cooperation.

FROM THE SOVIET INFORMATION BUREAU - Operational summary for August 2, 1943

In the Donbass region, southwest of Voroshilovgrad, our troops repelled attacks by large enemy forces consisting of tanks and infantry. Groups of German tanks, 60-80 vehicles each, repeatedly stormed Soviet positions. ะžur units successfully defended against the enemy's infantry and tanks, inflicting significant damage on the German troops.
The gunners and infantrymen of the N-formation destroyed 24 enemy tanks during the day. Additionally, in another area, Soviet units destroyed 32 German tanks and up to 2,000 enemy soldiers and officers. Prisoners from one German tank division reported that during the first two days of fighting, many units of their division lost from 50 to 80 percent of the personnel.

Furthermore, our aircraft sank a transport and two enemy patrol boats in the Black Sea.

And now... the Chinese project: One Belt, One Road + the Russian project of the Northern Sea Route and the North-South Corridor. I'll give you a hint and show you.
This is a rough map of the SCO project before the current changes in Africa.
Now overlay the logistics of Africa on this map.
If the original project was a unified Eurasia-now it is expanding southward.

Note: for those who are particularly curious, you can look at a map of Heartland and you'll find something similar. But in general. geography is a cynical woman.

Part 1

French military intelligence does not expect Ukraine to win this year, nor does it expect them to win in 2025. In fact, it does not expect Ukraine to win at all.

General Jacques Langlade de Mongro, the Director of French Military Intelligence, stated to the parliament (as reported in the article ) that the Ukrainian conflict will continue in 2024 and even in 2025.

The Ukrainian forces are hindered by Russia's partial mobilisation. France believes that this strategy has yielded results, achieving quantitative parity on the LBS (Line of Contact).

Russia has advantages that Ukraine does not have.

One aspect worth noting is the "physical and, above all, mental trauma, especially in Ukraine, where the proportion of combatants in the total population is greater than in Russia, which will become a structural problem for Ukrainian society in the future."

The future outlook for Ukraine is one of a country facing challenges with a significant number of wounded and psychologically affected individuals. Many women and minors have fled the country, and it seems unlikely they will return.

Part 2

Russia has its own "strategic depth," and if necessary, Iran, China, and DPRK will support Russia. Additionally, Russia enjoys an advantage in equipment, particularly in artillery. The adaptation of the military-industrial complex is proceeding smoothly.

In contrast, Ukraine's strategic depth is virtual and entirely dependent on NATO. However, even the supplied equipment does not function as expected due to limited training time. Furthermore, the mix of various systems complicates maintenance and repair.

While the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) are focusing their efforts on the Sea of Azov, the Russian Armed Forces are gradually advancing through Kupyansk.

For the first time in the French Parliament, it was mentioned that a Ukrainian counterattack would likely result in a massive loss of the Ukrainian population. However, the real question is whether anyone will consider their perspective.

Putin's remarks at the government meeting regarding the need to deepen economic cooperation with Africa (as mentioned in the article: ) against the backdrop of existing political trust are precisely what we have already discussed. We have the foundation to enhance economic performance by providing support to African countries in crucial areas such as military, energy, transport infrastructure, and food security.

This forms the basis upon which we can establish new structures for a common market, including a high-tech market with assured demand. As a result, we can plan the long-term development of high-tech industries. It presents an opportunity for our industries, from aerospace to electronics, to build a solid foundation for sustainable growth.

This is a story that seemingly has nothing to do with SMO - but in fact, it does.

Today, the head of Bashkiria, Khabirov, held talks with a deserter who had threatened to detonate grenades on a highway in Ufa. Eventually, the man surrendered to law enforcement.

Khabirov came to speak to this man upon his request, negotiated with him, sent the police away, and calmly stood nearby while talking. He achieved a peaceful resolution.
When we consider the dedication and ability to take risks shown by a regional leader like him (the police had the option to shoot the man), it can give us an insight into the politics we have in Russia. These leaders demonstrate courage and determination!

Ukraine has 'suddenly' stopped 'winning', and Western media unanimously report on the setback of the AFU counter-offensive.

โœ’๏ธ Politico: Ukraine has deeply disappointed its 'supporters'. The recent attack near the town of Orekhov, which involved thousands of Western-trained fighters, failed to yield results. The counter-offensive is expected to continue until at least autumn, possibly lasting through winter.

โœ’๏ธ The New York Times: The Ukrainian armed forces have advanced less than 16 kilometers in two months. They claim that some Russian fortifications are impassable. However, the Ukrainian forces are suffering heavy casualties, with attacking battalions and brigades rapidly diminishing under Russian fire.

โœ’๏ธ Die Welt: Due to its ambitions to 'reclaim' all Russian territories, Kiev finds itself in a precarious position. Ukraine's attempts to push back Russia seem unlikely to succeed, and in winter, the West may push for a frozen conflict. In 2024, Ukraine's 'partners' might lose interest in large-scale arms deliveries.
