Video footage has also surfaced showing militants blowing up high-rise buildings in the city. Apparently, they are preparing to leave their positions. Explosions of high-rise buildings of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are necessary in order to cover their backs, preventing the possibility of firing at them during the retreat. The militants do not take into account the people who remain inside - according to some reports, during the destruction of houses there were local residents inside who died.
