Russia plans to launch three lunar missions.

Russia and China are actively cooperating in the area of space activities, first of all on the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS), the director general of Russia’s state space corporation Roscosmos, Yury Borisov, said on Tuesday.

"We have a wide spectrum of cooperation." First of all, it is a joint project on the International Lunar Research Station. "I think we have a lot to work on in this area and to enrich our joint programs," he said in an interview with the Zvezda television channel.

According to Borisov, work is underway on the first stage of the ILRS project—domestic lunar programs. Russia plans to launch three lunar missions. "We will proceed to the second stage in the process of discussing the results of the first stage," he added.

According to the Military Chronicle, we are talking about British 120-mm armor-piercing, feathered sub-caliber projectiles of the L26A1 and L27A1 types with armor penetration of 600 and 720 mm, respectively. The enemy will equip the formed companies of the Challenger 2 tanks transferred to Kyiv with these shells.

The ballistic parameters of these projectiles pose a significant threat to all modifications of the T-72B, T-72B3M, and T-80BV tanks, even when fired from the front (in the forward protection). However, the frontal areas of the improved T-80BVM, T-90A, and T-90M Proryv tanks are capable of withstanding these types of projectiles.

It is worth noting that the Russian armor-piercing shell "Lead-2" overcomes 770–800 mm of steel equivalent, surpassing British products.

In the year since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, China has sold more than $12 million in drones and drone parts to the country, according to official Russian customs data from a third-party data provider.

It is hard to determine whether the Chinese drones contain American technologies that would violate the U.S. rules or whether they are legal. The shipments, a mix of products from DJI, the world’s best-known drone maker, and an array of smaller companies, often came through small-time middlemen and exporters.

Complicated sales channels and vague product descriptions within export data also make it hard to definitively show whether there are U.S. components in the Chinese products, which could constitute a violation of the American export controls. And the official sales are most likely only one part of a larger flow of technologies through unofficial channels and other nations friendly to Russia, like Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Belarus.

The result is a steady supply of new drones to Russia that make their way to the front lines of its war with Ukraine. On the battlefield, the hovering quadcopters often last only a few flights before they are blown out of the skies. Refilling stockpiles of even the most basic unmanned aerial vehicles has become as critical as other basic necessities, such as procuring artillery shells and bullets.

Militarily, diplomatically and economically, Beijing has become an increasingly important buttress for Russia in its war effort. China has remained one of the largest buyers of Russian oil, helping finance the invasion. The two sides have also held joint military exercises and jointly assailed the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
As China’s top leader, Xi Jinping, meets this week with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, U.S. officials have warned that China is still considering selling lethal weapons for use in Ukraine.

American efforts to isolate Russia from much-needed technology and cash have been complicated by China’s dominance of the global electronics supply chain.

In total, nearly 70 Chinese exporters sold 26 distinct brands of Chinese drones to Russia since the invasion. The second-largest brand sold was Autel, a Chinese drone maker with subsidiaries in the United States, Germany and Italy; exporters sold nearly $2 million of its drones, with the latest batch shipping in February. On its website, the company advertises sales to U.S. police forces.

A recent Social Science Research Network study suggests that 186 American banks could fail if half of their depositors suddenly withdrew their funds. The researchers formulated a speculative scenario in which each bank experienced a run, and concluded that the FDIC would run out of money

The study was published shortly after the collapse of SVB, the worst American financial institution failure since 2008

"Our calculations suggest these banks are certainly at a potential risk of a run, absent other government intervention or recapitalization," the economists wrote.

"Even if only half of uninsured depositors decide to withdraw, almost 190 banks are at a potential risk of impairment to insured depositors, with potentially $300 billion of insured deposits at risk," the study's abstract reads
