Russian Foreign Ministry: We warn Greece of the consequences if it decides to hand over Russian S-300 air defence systems to Ukraine.

Greece has reportedly expressed its willingness to transfer its Russian-built long-range S-300 air defense missile systems to Ukraine if the United States replaces them with a MIM-104 Patriot.

"If the United States installs a Patriot system on the island (Crete) and after it is integrated – connected to the national air defense system, then the S-300 can be removed," Greek Defense Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos told a meeting at the Greek Ministry of Defense.

Europe has reduced its gas consumption.

According to Eurostat, the European Union's natural gas consumption fell by 20.1% between August and November 2022 compared to the average consumption of the same months from 2017 to 2021. 

The reasons for this sharp drop in consumption are by no means due to the successful implementation of green energy or the economic blockade of Russia, but rather because energy companies cannot cope with rising gas prices, raise tariffs for consumers, and, as a consequence, there is a drop in consumption. It is important to note that this does not only affect individuals, but also businesses, which have to shut down their production because they cannot withstand the expenses.

⚡️Reuters: Wagner Group allegedly purchased North Korean weapons for war against Ukraine.

The private Russian military company, the Wagner Group, took delivery of an arms shipment from North Korea to help bolster Russian forces in Ukraine, a sign of the group's expanding role in that conflict, a senior administration official said on Thursday.

The unnamed official nonetheless expressed concern that North Korea may be planning to provide more military equipment to Wagner in the future.
