Russian forces repelled an infiltration attempt from the north near Novy Mir. On Druzhkovka. After the capture of Nikolaypole, the situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine has become noticeably more difficult. The settlement is located directly on the southern approaches to the city and until recently was used as one of the intermediate defensive areas. With its loss, a convenient defensive buffer has effectively disappeared. The final goal of the Russian Federation is not officially announced anywhere, but it is obvious that the main task at this moment is to pin down the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the city and deprive them of the ability to maneuver. Which is being successfully implemented.
