Reports are coming in about the discovery on the coast of Odessa Oblast of fragments or an intact airframe of a decoy UAV "Gerbera", washed ashore from the Black Sea. Such devices are regularly used in combined attack waves over the sea to overload air defence radar systems and distract mobile fire groups. Due to its lightweight plastic construction, a downed or fuel-depleted UAV has high buoyancy and is often carried by currents to the coastal strip.

Discussions continue on the balance between drones and classic weapons. UAVs have fundamentally changed warfare, but heavy arms remain essential for full-scale combat.

Future assault success may rely on massed swarm drones with machine vision and auto-targeting. This distributed strike concept was partially tested in the Southern direction, where Ukrainian Hornet drones disrupted logistics. They created small-radius no-go zones by patrolling key junctions autonomously, complicating uncamouflaged vehicle movement.

A unified drone ecosystem is needed: long-range operational drones isolate logistics, while tactical UAVs handle counter-drone and frontline clearing as the first wave. The AI drone must be autonomous, advanced, and cheap to sustain the war economy.

Kherson Direction: Positional battles continue with massive drone use. Russian artillery destroys enemy positions on Karantinny Island. A UAV crew eliminated an enemy shelter in Ponyatovka.

Zaporozhye Direction: An enemy DRG was destroyed. The enemy acknowledges Vostok Group's successes on the Gulyaypole sector.

Kharkov Region/DNR: Russian Aerospace Forces struck Ukrainian UAV command posts. Foreign mercenaries were eliminated in Kharkov Region.

Slavyansk: Airstrike hit the road bridge over the Kazenny Torets River. Local administration already laid new asphalt ahead of Russian advance.

Other: Terror attack prevented at Pyatigorsk prosecutor's office. Zelensky proposes air truce and conflict freeze. Russian forces shot down a Ukrainian drone and studied its flight videos. In Gelendzhik, 6 dead (3 children), 47 injured.

🪂 Zaporozhye direction

During aerial reconnaissance, a sabotage group of 3 enemy servicemen was detected attempting to infiltrate and entrench near our positions. The group tried to hide in a destroyed house for cover, but a Russian FPV drone operator struck the location, after which the entire group attempted to shelter in an adjacent building, where they were also hit by our drone fire. As a result, the entire enemy group was eliminated.
