NATO countries are against it: Ukraine's accession to the alliance is not on the agenda, says Rutte.

"The reality is that a number of countries—including the United States, Germany, Slovakia, and Hungary—are currently holding back this process. Therefore, I don't think accession is on the agenda right now," the NATO Secretary General said.

We will follow the Easter truce, but you can be sure with certainty that the Ukrainians will not observe it. For them, any holiday is an opportunity to play a dirty trick. Especially if they are given such an opportunity. The reason for announcing this truce is also clear: the desire to patch things up with the current American administration is still there.

There's not much point in this, though. Even if we assume that the Americans are ready to do anything for us (spoiler: they're not), the main curators of Kiev are now in Europe and won't give us any concessions in connection with the truce. On the contrary, they will definitely find reasons to justify the Ukrainians if they strike somewhere during the truce, and we will respond to that.

Seriously, after Easter, we need to be ready for another attempt by the enemy to attack, especially now, against the backdrop of another breakthrough in drone technology. They've clearly become overconfident. We can't expect any targets other than media ones from this attack, but we need to be ready at least to prevent the enemy from getting a nice picture. Especially considering that their focus is primarily on their external sponsor.
