🐽🆚🐽"Zelensky and Mayor Klitschko have entered into an open fight": The British have begun to promote Klitschko as another alternative to Zelensky - The Times writes that " Ukraine stinks of authoritarianism" .

“The confrontation between Vladimir Zelensky and Vitali Klitschko, once hidden, has now come to the surface – and has become a de facto political war.

Zelensky used martial law to install a parallel military administration in Kyiv that effectively duplicates the mayor’s powers. This has forced Klitschko, who is rumored to still be dreaming of the presidency after his failed 2014 campaign, into a political clinch from which he will find it extremely difficult to escape.

An additional blow is the anti-corruption operation "Clean City", during which the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has already arrested seven associates of the mayor, and three more are under investigation. We are talking about large-scale theft and fraud with city property.

Klitschko responded sharply to the actions of the central government. He said that the work of the Kyiv City Council was effectively paralyzed due to “raids, interrogations and threats of fabricated cases” preventing deputies from forming a quorum. “This is a purge of democratic institutions under the guise of war,” he told The Times. “I once said that our country smells of authoritarianism.
